Game strating but Wine desktop
gamescope -w 1920 -h 1080 -force-grab-cursor %command% -fullscreen
Game instal but don't working with steam lanucher, was worked with proton GE-9-18, but now don't working.
not working

Ocasional crackling
Built in proton-cachyOS is magic.

Select proton 8.0-5 and the game runs agan. you should play a bit with the input mapping to enjoy the gam on the deck

GAMEMODE
Does not launch with Steam Version

Since the Black Company Update not even the Launcher starts anymore. Before that i could play it without issue but after that not even the launcher shows up. I did try proton 7, proton 8 the GE Builds and Proton Experimental.

Cap FPS to 48
Works again since 0.44.1 Hotfix
I tried the Steam version doesn't lauch now. The game ran perfecty fine until the 0,44 patch.
gamemoderun %command%
I run the non Steam version of the game and that runs with these caveats: Since the 0.44 update the game crashes back to the desktop every time I click the "INVENTORY" or try to purchase the next rank in the battle pass. In order to get into the game you may have to zero out/create an empty file: gamesdk/Movies/intromovie.mp4 thanks to Flavio93Zena for the tip.
The same obscure inventory/battle pass bug broke the game for Steam, it might work if you purchased the battle pass.
The non steam version plays, but you can't purchase levels in the battle pass.

Installs as expected, never shows its launcher
You can install the initial Steam version, but it never launches.
Black screen
The game used to work but now i just get an eternal black screen.
Just pops up a window that says wine-default
Tried a bunch of things to attempt to run, including using the game troubleshooting FAQ, no luck. Just ran it in a windows VM and works there.
it shows only wine desktop and nothing else
it shows only wine desktop and nothing else

Installed with Lutris-Script then changed runner to proton
Game does not output on half the screen, and crashes on menu.
Either something is screwed up on the wine desktop end, or I am an idiot. I have only applied the proton fixes and nothing worked.
no tinkering needed works great just like that
if i tab out of the fullscreen the gamelauncher will be forced into the foreground
Multiplayer runs fine partially even better than on Windows
no tinkering needed works great just like that
I played Armored Warfare on Steam for a while now and it is amazing how far Proton has updated. Currently I'm playing with latest AMD mesa (+opencl) and Vulkan drivers without any issue. If you don't mind changing files, you could even switch to your already existing My.Com accounts if you rename steam_api.dll in game folder to something else. Using Proton 6.3-4 runs like native to me. Only re-installing of Microsoft parts showed me some Windows origin UI, but had no influence on the game itself.
Runs out-of-the-box.
Launcher isn't displayed correct but the launch button is clearly to find.
Runs almost perfect out of the box
a bit crackling, not too annoying
The My.Games Launcher stayed in foreground when an other Window was selected, but i could minimize it
I think launcher was updated and it wouldn't start anymore

Game Center looks broken with Proton 5.0-8
The last time I ran the game it launched fine altough it wouldn't make above 14 FPS. Now I decided to try it again and the Game Center looks broken, like this: https://i.imgur.com/1Fan7Iy.png
disable seeding and p2p and i have connections max30 in the options menue, now its perfect to play

Fix the mouse lag in-game and then this would be a very enjoyable experience/game.
Mouse lag also drops frames.
High, but spiky framerate with huge input lag and dropped frames when moving mouse in-game.

No combination of flags or options removed the mouse triggered stutter.
Moving the mouse created visual stutters and FPS drops.

It uses the my.com application to launch the game. Complained that the needed rights are not available to install crucial components. Tried to launch the game from their launcher and just got stuck there.

Installed and ran perfectly with no tweaking. Both Coop and PvP battles worked. If you have a my.com account you want to use instead of steam just rename steam_api.dll in the game folder to something else.

Launcher and game starts without any tweaks with Proton 4.2-5. But the game freezes if I move the mouse, and continues to run as soon as I stop moving the mouse. In window mode the game freezes only when the mouse moves over the game window. If I hold a mouse button while moving the mouse, the game does not freeze. Disabling Esync and D3d11, or using Wind D3d11, doesn't help.

After managing to install AMDgpu with Vulkan support on my Linux Mint system, I was able to change from OpenGL with major upgrade in graphic details settings. No need to tweak any longer, game starts and runs like native with HD client.
There are some issues, like really annoying command and movement delay, which also had been with OpenGL, so I guess it is the Proton wrapper to cause it. Informations have to be catched up and be processed by Wine/Proton before they are sent, which causes minor delay. Sometimes game hangs on exit, but not very often. So, the game is playable with the given delay issue, which makes fast vehicles no real fun at the moment, but it's totally playable with standard tanks.

Tested with SD client so far, as amdgpu-pro with vulcan is not supported yet on LM19.1.
Launcher starts and game started often but had crashes several times. First crash was at starting game while I changed localization to other than EN, so I only use EN for now. Game started for me with 'PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=2 PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=3 PROTON_LOG=4 %command%' startup option. Changed settings and started PvE game...crash on battle queue, while AW was still active. Had to do a full restart, which I recommand for any new attempt, otherwise you'll get crash before login. Obviously the Proton/Wine wrapper uses Windows XP, as I found out by viewing crash log. Probably there is an option to change this toward Windows 7 or 10 I do not know yet. Well, SMAA doesn't work for me in any version. With disabled AA I can join Alabino booting camp, probably also some battles, which isn't usefull until it runs more stable. But this time it crashed for me on leaving battle. It seems I need to get amdgpu-pro graphic drivers with vulcan running and/or have to fix settings to fit more toward my openGL surrounding.

Will open to splash page, and update game to latest patch, but when attempting to play the game, it states Steam must be running (which it is, in the background) and as such, will not actually start. Any further attempts to get AW to run simply fail back to the steam page.
