Works flawlessly out of the box.
The game and it's community suck balls, but there are no technical issues whatsoever.
Works as expected, performs as good as windows right away.
You will need to set the systemwide default mic as the one you want to use because the game has a bug, but this is on windows too.
Very slow but playble
Around 20-25 FPS with lowest settings and potato mode
I have no idea about mic.

Game runs about as poorly as it does on Windows, expect to need to tweak audio settings in particular on first setup
As has been noted in other examples below, the game has no mic selecting function and reverts to the "Windows default microphone". In practice for me, going into PulseAudio and setting my mic to the Fallback option under input devices worked.
It also has a very low preset volume for ingame chat, so expect to need to bump your ingame mic volume and boost other players volumes for the game to be playable
This is a common problem to Windows users as well, for some reason the game won't recognise button's mapped to a mouse for use specifically with the push to talk. It will allow you to map it and then not register an input. The game does allow mapping anything else to mouse buttons without issue
Again a problem Windows users also have, the game will occasionally crash when loading into a match. While playing with friends, it usually happens to at least one or two people over the course of a session. It does however allow for hot-joining back in so no reset to lobby required unless the host crashes.

A note worth mentioning - spatial audio works without issues, as long as you use PulseAudio.
works a charm out-the-box, 10/10
runs perfectly
game runs with high performance, proximity voice chat works perfect out of the box
If you beef up your PC, you might be able to run this fine.
Very laggy (FPS + input) on minimum settings. Can run slightly better graphics on windows (same machine)
Works out of the box with Proton GE 6.1-2 tried multiplayer worked very well and i could hear others speaking through the voice chat.
Works just fine now
I did experience some crashes with a newer version of Proton, version 5.13-6 works just fine. Also the microphone seems to work now, albeit I do use pipewire so it could be that.
I don't know what all the other people are saying about the microphone. To me people could hear me good.
Fps lowered by 20 fps during in the middle of 1 hour playing it
Using 'protontricks 408900 win7' and Setting the Launch Options as 'WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" %command%' fixed the only issue which is the audio.
Great social deduction survival horror game if you can tolerate not using a mic
User microphone is silent - other players cannot hear me talk
Obviously, proximity chat is huge in this game - the game does offer text and emotes, which is somewhat workable, but the experience is far better with a mic. Honestly, we're really close to Platinum here - other than this mic issue, the game runs fine!
For those interested, the issue is that Wine does not have support for the Windows Default Communication Device concept introduced in Windows 7 (see this MSDN link and this Wine source code - essentially, Wine's waveInOpen
implementation needs to be able to take some special flags in place of a device ID and use that to open the default Pulse mic). The devs have said that they're not prioritizing native Linux support, though they could also fix this problem by allowing you to explicitly pick your mic in game (which would be a nice QoL change for Windows users).
broken mic
slow to load
GPU load: 30-35% in game
vidmem: around 2250 MB in game
sysmem: 128 MB
AA 2x; MB on
DefaultLimitNOFILE=524288
Steam Shader Pre-Caching settings: SPC on; ABPVS on
Game was fine, however voice chat is a nonstarter which some may consider essential to this game
Output is fine, input is not detected
Game works, but no communication via sounds makes it unplayable
Can't hear others, others can't hear me
have played with a couple of my friends, was a lot of fun, looks and feels great, voice commands compensate for lack of mic
Microphone was not detected, is a major gameplay used in online play
Around 40 FPS with any preset... Strange...
slow to load
DefaultLimitNOFILE=524288

Microphone is essential but doesn't work.
No audio by default. When using the winetricks fix mentioned here, audio output works, but the microphone (essential to the game) doesn't.
Tried protontricks win7 and launch option 'WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" %command%' but microphone audio still broken
Microphone audio does not work but is essential for this game
The missing Voicechat breaks every joy. It fucks you up too heavily to have fun, and cripples you completely
Voicechat is not working, regular audio works
Voicechat is not working at all, no fixes available, write the dev on twitter https://twitter.com/geoffkeene
I really want to point out: The missing voicechat + inability to fix it completely fucks up everything
Fix for no audio: run 'protontricks 408900 win7' & setup launch options: 'WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" %command%'
To fix audio, protontricks 408900 win7 and then in launch options, WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" %command%
You need Proton 4.1.9
No audio input, can't use the basically crucial voicechat
Works wonderfully! I love games without anti-cheat!
Must use Proton 4.11-13 or there is no audio
Tried several GE versions and startup options
No voice chat and no Audio Output
Having voice chat is crucial
No mic
The game in its current state is not playable. No sound and the performance is too bad; no graphics settings improve FPS at all.
Can't hear anything, audio not working. Using /WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" %command%/ did not work for me.
15-28 FPS on hardware that could comfortably run the game at 120FPS on Windows.

I can see "loading..." screen, but can't load main menu
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1; Custom Proton: Proton-5.11-GE-3-MF
Proton log: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ag015zafuote0wf/steam-408900.log
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" %command% to get audio since UE4 doesn't play nice with proton.

DX11 feature level 10.0 is required to run the engine
Proton version: 3.7-8, PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1

Definitely better than newer Proton; 10 FPS in main menu, but most textures are black
Unable to find Internet servers to test online... Requested VRAM: 1.44 GB in main menu
Proton version: 3.16-9, PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1

Black screen. Freezes after 1.3 GB of requested VRAM
Proton version: 4.11-13

Audio was missing for me, with XAudio errors in the logs. Setting the launch options to:
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" %command%
allowed audio to play, however there is no microphone configuration in-game, and no audio is received from my mic.
Audio only worked with proton 4.2.9

Black screen. Freezes after 1.3 GB of requested VRAM
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1, custom Proton version: Proton-5.11-GE-3-MF
