worked out the box
I had a singular crash after 2 hours of play. I switched to Proton Experimental (bleeding edge) and i haven't had a crash after playing for 4 more hours.
Worked as expected
Works amazing and even with the non bleeding edge version of Proton, EAC seemed to succeed and i could play multi player.
I switched from using my bare Gentoo install to a fresh, new Pop OS install and after doing that for some reason EAC works on the non-flatpak and flatpak version of Steam.
I had issues getting my controller to work in the flatpak version of Steam, Steam would see the controller and i could use it in big picture mode but games could not use it. But regardless, using the regular, distro version of Steam, everything worked out the box.
Let all us Linux gamers enjoy this masterpiece together !
I had one crash after changing the radio in online but that was the only crash during a 2hr session.
If online doesnt work for you, give Proton-6.10-GE-2 a try it worked a charm for me!
Game works as good as it does on windows with few minor issues
Every now and then the game would crash when starting a new match, the timer would get to 40seconds until the game began and then get kicked out the lobby
