Runs perfectly
Works out of the box
Works pretty well, but there are 2 things that I wanted to comment on:
1 - Game takes a LOOONG time to load, this is not linux specific, apparently the game has to parse strings for every single language on every loading screen. Follow this guide to reduce loading times substantially.
2 - Tried switching to dx11 to see what the difference would be, it seemed like it looked slightly better (I'm playing with everything maxed out) than dx9, but I had constant stutters, probably because there's no pre-compiled shaders for the dx11 version.
Lefty wants left trigger as left click
When you enabe a controller setup and enable in settings, must restart game for it to register
play with a community contoller mappings
Aside from having to enable the controller in game, this works like a charm straight from the box
Text does get very small. I couldn't find a way to increase font or UI size in game
Like science_vlad said down below, controller is not properly detected until you enable it in game
Works ok
Runs completely fine without any tinkering. Multiplayer is not working, but that is because servers are shut down...
Works as expected
It is not detected until you switch on in-game controller detection
Works great out of the box
Finished game without issues
beside the long loading times, the game is much improved compared to 5.9 as the speech is complete and no text is missing
the loading screens can take from 30 seconds to a minute
I completed the story no problem.
The levels would take a significant time to load (5+ minutes). Don't know if it is game or incompatibility with Linux.
Will sometimes completely freeze. I was sometimes able to kill the process without a computer restart, other times a reboot was needed.
The shortcut keys that use SHIFT, CTRL, or ALT would never work.
Works like in Windows, except I have missed few words in dialogues.
A few dialogues has missed some words
The same problems as reported in Windows, online mode corruption
The game works perfectly out of the box. Just hit play and enjoy
Runs perfect with DX9 or DX11.
I'm not sure what others are doing, but I get 1-15 FPS and studders like nobody's business. Completely unplayable. Even on the lowest settings. I have it set to ultra on windows on the same machine and I get 90 FPS. Tries with esync enabled and disabled, gamemode, and with d3d11 disabled.
The game with proton 4.2-9 was tested. In terms of performance goes to 30 frames. The gameplay and the sound go very well. No adjustments were made.
The game has a tendency to crash when I use the teleport feature, which is annoying and leads to a lot of backtrack. Otherwise playable
There is a single spot at the very beginning of the game where it crashes something like 80% of the time. Otherwise, no tweaks needed and no observable faults. If not for that crash (which I think might be present on Windows even) it would be Platinum.
So far, it just runs. It installed, cinematic played, created an account, logged in, created a character, started a game, played for a little bit. No graphical problems, no glitches of any kind.
The game launches, seems to be working, but when I go to get online and put my username and password to retrieve my character, it says 'Network Error' all the time, I can't login at all. It's also instant to put 'Network Error', I highly doubt that there is a communication with Neocore servers at all, like if the game doesn't detect internet at all and doesn't bother trying online since he (the game) thinks there is no internet anyway.
missing textures make it hard to play
Works only in offline mode, missing textures and graphical glitches.
dx9 has shader (missing texture?) glitches and missing 2D graphics and freezes on exit. dx11 exits gracefully but has the same glitches OpenGL has missing 2D graphics. Since map graphics are missing, I call the game unplayable. Apart from those issues, the game is pretty stable
Impossible to go online (Game crashes, error message). Starts with DX9/11 and OpenGL but only palyable with OpenGL renderer.
