Perfect after turning off Steam overlay.
The game would crash at the main menu no matter what version of Proton or GE that I used, I decided to finally try turning off the Steam overlay to see if I could get passed this and voila it finally worked and I was able to play the game all the way to the end without any issues.

I'm not sure if I should report this, because on Windows game slow down too. From 300 fps to 40 in some areas.
Blank screen w/ game audio.
I can hear the game menu sounds when i go up and down. clicking enter on what I assume is the menu option to start the game it crashes
After it started it gave me a blank screen. Did not tried to disable or override default proton settings.
The mouse sensitivity was very strange (way too much even after adjustment down to ~0.2), and the mouse movement has some delay which makes it rather unplayable. Not sure if it’s due to my laptop setup, but this even happened with the lowest resolution setting -- and other games like Half-Life 2 and CS:GO work without issues.
