Worked beautifully. I tweaked it to use the full 1280x800 and upgraded the graphics quality to medium/high, worked like a champ.
Aside from the jarring black screens where the cutscenes should be (including at startup, where you have to skip to get menu) it plays ok
Cut scenes are just black screen, the skip cutscene button is super tiny
Does not even launch with the current steam proton default (7.0-2) or forced experimental.
Since it worked before, maybe it will someday work again?
Worked great, same as on desktop. Didn't try adding a second controller for multiplayer splitscreen.
Worked pretty well. Not sure it's a good fit compared to using keyboard/mouse, but it played just fine for me. Did most of the first level
Works well enough, no bugs that aren't on the windows or linux desktop version. Font is a bit small
In the initial game menu, you have to set it to game pad, and set the tips to gamepad
The font is a bit on the small side
It's not quite as smooth when moving the camera around as it is on linux desktop
Worked perfectly, and the instructions are all in gamepad key and keyboard, which was a great solution.
It doesn't seem to be a very controller friendly game, and the steam pads just weren't accurate enough to play properly.
Games work perfectly on steam deck once you force it to use proton (easy change). Default just gives you a black screen.
With the default native or whatever Steam pushes by default, just goes to a black screen. Switching it to force proton latest/exp works perfectly
Broken. Sure glad it stopped us from cheating, or playing it, or whatever.
Manually set screen res and cranked graphics settings to max. Game looks and plays *amazing*, way better than on xbox.
The control layouts need some attention, but worked great after setting graphics to High and correct resolution.
PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 PROTON_SET_GAME_DRIVE=1 %command%
As noted elsewhere, there are some black install screens (just hit enter), and you will almost certainly need to use the proton options to prevent the weird "Insufficient install space" error. It seems to be trying to install to /dev/shm (that was the only thing with the space it claimed it was seeing). With the proton launch options supplied, it worked perfectly to finish the install, patch, and run.
It seems a little bit laggier than on xbox, but acceptable.
If you do not set the proton launch options, it will very likely be unable to finish installing the game.
Currently unplayable. No input works at all, not touchscreen, mouse pads, gamepad, nothing. Can't even get past the MSVC Runtime install prompt.
