Läuft, obwohl im EA, problemlos auch unter Linux, dazu wesentlich performanter.

Game runs perfect, no tinkering required.

The game is still early access at the moment, so there are bugs and inconsistencies. Did not play this on Windows so I cannot say if it's any different there, but it is fun and everything works as expected.

I created my own control scheme and adjusted along the way to make it more efficient.
Adjusted TDP to 10W and frame capped it at 30.
All in all the game plays well on the Steam Deck. Use a mouse and keyboard for the authenitc feel. I was able to get accustomed to a custom control layout. Run the game at lowest settings for the most part. I was using the virtual keyboard for typing. If the graphics were on medium, it made it difficult to type effeciently. I went back to low for the best overall performace. I tried FSR and setting resolution at 640, but it didn't seem to run any better so I went back to native 800. Great to play on the couch when you're solo. I would recommend mouse and keyboard in groups as typing with the virtual keyboard can be slow and cumbersome.

Shadow rendering issues, where the transition between light and shadow is too abrupt.
Rise of the Fallen runs smoothly on Proton with minimal issues. Most gameplay elements, including combat and exploration, are fully playable with stable frame rates. Some minor graphical glitches and lighting inconsistencies may occur, but these don't significantly impact the overall experience. Recommended for fans of classic MMORPGs.

Selling items requires holding down the ALT key and then right-clicking the item in inventory while at a vendor. The ALT key seems to work (mouse icon changes) but clicking does nothing.
I tried both Proton Experimental and Glorious Eggroll 9.12. Neither allows me to sell items. This bug was previously identified in a Reddit post and reported in an official Discord channel somewhere. Apparently some people (not everyone) can work around it by using CTRL-ALT-RightClick. It worked for me.

Runs smoothly without tinkering
Due to my low spec graphics card I had to set in-game graphics to low and only get 60fps. Besides that, the game runs very good overall. No tinkering needed on my end. Using Proton 9.0-4.
Note: This is an EARLY ACCESS review. Game could run better in future versions!

Generally works fine. Some hitching and slow down but nothing too game breaking for me as a seasons MMO beta tester
Again this is an EA dev build. I could not effectively resolve it.
Occasionally clicking off screen and back will disable all inputs. This has happened in other Unity games for me as well so probably something with the engine.
This was mentioned earlier in a previous comment from me about when you click out of the game window. it is not all the time.
It is an EA of a dev build. Nothing unexpected. Occasional slow downs and changing from High to Medium or Low made no real difference performance wise. Mild stuttering and some hitching. I did turn Vsync to 0 from 1 in settings and that helped a little.
Occasionally enemies seem to get stuck in the world. Again EA so not surpising.
This is an MMO. It is always online. As an EA game crashes are expected. I have not had any recently but be aware it COULD happen in EA
Quick fix for the launcher as it has a weird issue. Once it installs through Lutris or Steam (I used Lutris since I have the client launcher access as a long time tester) you will want to go into PantheonLauncher.exe.config and delete lines 50-52. I don't know what they are meant to do but it doesn't like Linux and will not load properly. Removing those lines the launcher loads and patches properly with no issue. That was the ONLY issue I had launching from Steam. Lutris took a bit more work I am using WineStaging 10.2 in Lutris did not need to touch other settings but may have to install latest vcrun and Microsoft .NET framework. I do think it basically worked oob with the version of wine I am running in Lutris but I had been tinkering prior due to the config fix I mentioned above so it may have been fine and I was just getting too deep into the fix.
slight slow down when game loaded up, but afterwards no problems
