FPS lock at 60
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
The initial sound at the begginig had some gliching - after that all works as I remember.
Well, that was my first game I lunch on Linux, I had some struggle since this is my first experience of luching a game like that - I must say that I'm supprise that it worked and it didn't require much digging on how to run it.
No intro video, menu unresponsive
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
If your hardware isn't a decade old like mine is, you can just start the game using the latest Proton version without the need to set launch options.
it's pretty good.
Runs great out of the box, better then when it was new
Runs great, 10/10
Runs great out of the box! Intro movie works also!
Run out of the box!
Runs perfectly. I didn't notice any problem or bugs. Had to use PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% though.
Music is not being played, audio crackling on background.
Played all levels, and several workshop levels with no issues
Works fine without tweaks. Tested single player only. It freezes a few seconds while moving from an epic quest back to the map, windowed mode is unavailable. Runs cleanly and without any other problems.
Only one single issue, my Steam screenshot keybinding is F12. When I press it, the graphics have a tinge of gray over them.
Working perfectly out of the box.
Everything works, including multiplayer. To play multiplayer, opt-in to beta2 "Steam Multiplayer Support" branch and use Steam chat to invite friends to your lobby. Outside beta2 branch it's hard/impossible to play multi, no matter the OS (as indicated by Community Forum, so keeping Platinum score).
Played singleplayer for 16 hours. Had one crash-to-desktop for no apparent reason, otherwise the game ran smoothly and flawlessly.
It only takes a bit more time to go back to the main menu at the end of game, otherwise it runs just as well as on Windows.
Runs great as is, though not all resolutions were available or, if they were, the details were too tiny. It's an old game, but the 'HD' qualifier would make one expect it should be playable widescreen and/or on more contemporary resolutions. Not sure if this is due to Proton or just the game itself. It's perfect on 1024x768 though.
Everything worked great, only the map loading was a bit longer than on Windows for a few seconds, dismissive note.
Absolutely perfect for single players! Selecting online multiplayer crashes immediately (not sure if I'm missing gamespy or something) and selecting LAN multiplayer just sends me back to the main menu.
Completely flawless, DX9 renderer and changing resolutions works no problem
Both the base game and the Northern Expansion don't show the intro video and run very slowly. There aren't crashs, at least.
Good.
