Good experience with a few flaws
If you use the "compose" key to switch programs, this usually leads to the game freezing briefly or the whole game being displayed in the top left corner. However, this is only temporary and usually stops after 20 seconds.
The mouse is not displayed in the Steam overlay but you can still use the Overlay.
Graphics-wise it runs better than on Windows, as it kept crashing in the late game on Windows and not at all on Linux.

Worked perfectly fine. No tinkering required. Only issue was in scenes with heavy load, there would be some really bad screen tearing.
Lots of Screen Tearing

Certain in game documents may be hard to read sometimes
In game monitors require the touch screen in order to interact with them
The game rarely has fps drops which go away after relaunching the game
Be prepared to use your touchscreen or a mouse for certain in game sequences

No issues, seemed to work great
Great game that works well on linux
Slow to escape and go back to fullscreen

the game works perfectly right after installation, you don’t need to change or configure anything, stable 60 fps on high graphics that the game set itself

gamemoderun %command% -high -full -nojoy -nosteamcontroller -noforcemaccel -noforcemparms -noforcemspd
It ran just fine, but didn't complete it because it was equally boring like as staring at a wall.
Freezing when alt tab while streaming on discord
You have to set "Available memory" to "low" in the in-game options or the game will crash loading mosnt of the levels.
Some of the documents in-game are hard to read.
The game mostly runs at 60fps but in some areas it can drop down to 20fps.
If you don't set "available memory" to "low" you get frequent crashes.

Occassional stuttering after starting the game and/or switching the level.
If you don't switch to Proton 3.16-9 you will need to change the ingame-"available memory"-option to "low". This however also leads to barely readable low-res-textures for documents and therefore I highly recommend switching to this older version of Proton. You can switch to Proton 3.16-9 by right-clicking on the game in your Steam-library, selecting "Properties", selecting "Compatibility", checking "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool" and selecting "Proton 3.16-9".
Unplayable if I cannot solve the stability issue.
Game crashed during the briefing, attempted to lower memory and disable ESYNC, no change.
Also tried experimental and lower graphics settings and common launch options. No improvement.

Couldn't start a game on proton experimental, the progress bar wouldn't move past 20%~.
Could start the game on proton 3.16-9 (suggested by another user on this site) Didn't try any other proton versions
Great game which is equally enjoyable as it is on native.
Sometimes more stutters than native. Close to flawless though
Some crashes related to memory options. With the higher settings, it would sometimes crash/hang the game on level loads.
Ihr solltet es versuchen zu starten aber es ist wahrscheinlich das es nicht funktoniert
Das spiel startet nicht mehr seit 13 .1.22 und dem proton update
Random crashes every couple of minutes.
Only runs on Proton 3.16-9
The occasional stutter and when tabbing out and back in it looks like it crashed for 10 seconds, but it recovers.

Most of the maps would not load unless the memory setting was set to low. Some smaller maps would load on medium or even on high, but the rest only load on low.
When using fullscreen, alt-tabbing and returning to the game would freeze it for about a minute, afterwards it returns to normal. Using borderless fullscreen fixes the issue.
Older savegames I had would sometimes freeze the game while loading. New savegames worked fine.
Would occasionally stutter as the assets load and as you move through a map, but nothing terrible. It would end in a couple of minutes after a level transition.
Worked well, disable esync, set memory to medium, and don't use dev. Otherwise, similar experience to windows.
Slight glitches and frame drops on initial start. didn't notice as time went along
set available memory to minimum otherwise it wouldn't launch past the menu (64gb ram system so who knows), had to disable esync, and had to use Proton 6.3 instead of the dev build.
Runs alright and performs about as expected, some stuttering when walking into certain areas for the first time, but it goes away.
Audio feels slightly out of sync.
A bit of stuttering can occur, though nothing serious.
The game will not start if the memory amount setting is set to high (even with a lot of system memory and graphics memory). Setting it to low fixes the problem.

Game is unplayable. No graphics visible on screen.
The game would not launch at all with Proton 5.0-9, but it seems to launch fine with any version below that. However, I tried everything listed in the previous reports and I could not get the game working.
The game boots up to a textured black screen, which is clearly meant to be the main menu as I can hear menu selection sounds by hitting the arrow keys. Pressing enter on one of the options seems to start the game, however the screen remains black and I can only hear the sounds of the game.
The game is quite playable and I've played through the game 3 times already, the bugs that did occur was more funny than annoying.
Very rarely, about once or twice per playthrough a bunch of textures will go missing, solved by restarting the game.
When trying to come back to the game after alt tabbing the game tends to break in weird ways, solved by using borderless mode.
The game has issues with D9VK during my testing, and with Wine's OpenGL it doesn't perform quite as good, so will drop down to below 60fps during heavy areas, but usually hovers around 140-300fps.
Once or twice per playthrough the game will quit to desktop.
Runs quite well but has problems when run with d9vk.
When minimizing from fullscreen it might be quite difficult to get back in, and often results in visual glitches or crashes. Use windowed noborder.
Have to stick with wine's OpenGL as d9vk causes crashes when loading new maps, acceptable but not fantastic FPS.
Game works great out of the box

Works smooth, performance under linux comparable to windows. With the following settings I was able to play the complete story (roughly 15-20 h) without any crashes.
To achieve this, I had to change the "available memory" option in the settings to low (although I have 8 GB RAM). Otherwise it keeps crashing every time loading a map exept the very small ones. That is, because the game tries to load too much at the same time which causes the crash. Further tweaks like disabling Esync are not needed.

Game runs perfectly, some frame rate issues here and there, but otherwise good!

Game worked fine (slightly slower than Windows) after upgrading to Proton 4.2-6 or above.

Loading times were slow, ~30FPS with low graphic settings

Game started after installing lib32-vulkan-icd-loader.
Game crashes when minimized; Issue fixed by running the game in windowed mode or windowed borderless mode (-windowed -noborder -w -h )

Not sure if the issue is related to Proton or my integrated Intel GPU, but the game is way too dark and changing the in-game gamma setting has no effect. Adding "setting.mat_tonemapping_occlusion_use_stencil" "1" to the video config file fixed this issue for me however!

Upgrading my rating to Gold as the office map now works. Still need to disable Esync.

Update to the previous bronze report about borked audio and broken maps; the game now works perfectly with no tweaks.

Change launch options to "PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command% -console"; in the game console, type "map infra_c2_m1_reserve1" to skip the office map. Resuming after alt-tabbing out of the window stalls for about 10 seconds.

Some crashes with previoud NVIDIA drivers, no more problems after upgrading!

First chapter crashes when loading. Other chapters load but most audio effects are either silent or static noise.

Minor audio stuttering and screen tear from time to time.A bit lower performance than in windows. No major issues.
