Launching without tinkering mute the voices (you can hear all songs, but no voices). With experimental, all works great.

Opening text is cursive and hard to read.
On any other proton version, the controls wouldn't respond
The game shouldn't have a blue screen for a significant period, try tinkering with it if this occurs.
Tried all proton or with out it. Only blue screen after started.
Works better than it would on Windows 10!
Works better than it would on Windows 10 in my testing (water droplets in intro are normally not rendered right in W10) there is a complaint about a runtime however that same prompt is also on windows 10 for this fairly old title and can be just OK'd and move on!
seems to run fine on steam deck with the old proton version 3.16.9 , like mentioned below
(none)

Added the Skip-Cutscene button (Backspace) to a bumper
Steam Deck controls were unresponsive with newer versions of Proton and GE
There's a long-ish blue screen on launch but you just have to wait about 20-30 seconds.
A unique cult classic that might be difficult to enjoy for some, runs flawlessly
If you can put up with some infuriating bugs, questionable stealth design and some head scratching puzzles then I highly recommend this flawed gem. And it will run perfectly on Linux out of the box.
However I recommend using the unofficial patch and downloading the retail .exe from PCGamingWiki, this eliminates the game breaking stuff and alleviates timing based issues by locking the game to 60fps. It can easily be installed via your default WINE prefix found in your .wine folder in your home directory, which is hidden by default. Take the game directory from Steam, the retail .exe and the unnoficial patch .exe and put them in the documents folder in your wine prefix, apply the patch how you see fit and then copy the patched files back into the game's Steam folder. Overwrite everything there and you will be good to enjoy the game at its best possible state.

Tried experimental and GE but the game launch a first time then crash

Игра запускается на модифицированном протоне хорошо. Mangohud не работает правда. А так все норм
D3D flag shows backgrounds in main menu and reduced crashing in cutscenes
Windowed mode straight doesn't work
crashed at cutscenes, fixed now though
runs even better than on windows!
Alt + Tab crashes game, this was an old bug wich is present in windows, so not proton related.

Worked fine right out of the box with the latest Proton Version. There aren't any Alt+Tab Crashes anymore like in Windows!
You can even patch the game files using WINE, since apparently there is a bug in the game keeps you from continuing at a certain point.
Here's the unofficial patch: http://dcotetools.sucklead.com/p/dcotepatch.html
Looking forward to play the whole game!
No issues

Runs great out of the box... has a couple little audio hickups,... but I cant tell if that is just from the noraml buggy game itself. The only real problem I have is that when I alt-tab out of the game and then go back into the game it ALWAYS crashes. That is rather annoying.

При первом запуске во время установки фреймворков и всякой редиски ругнулся на Windows Media Player 7.0 - Microsoft Windows Media Player 7.0 or greater is required for this installation. Please install его и попробуй по новой, но я просто нажал OK и продолжил - игра работала и без всякой установки этого плеера.

Whenever starting the game the first time, whatever it is steam is trying to install as a first time setup causes it to complain that windows media player 7 is unavailable, however the game still works without it being addressed.
Proton 3.16-6: The menu stutters and lags so hard you can barely select the menus, and in-game there are several game breaking fps drops.
Proton 3.6-8: Alt Tabbing causes the game to crash.
Mild fps drops here and there, but it is playable.

Game works excelent, but there are 2 minor problems:
- 4k resulution shows black screen in game, but menus work fine (littlebit lower resulution than 4k works flawlessy)
- Problems with ladders in game. If, while using ladder you touch ground, game will crash. Workaround is to jump off ladders before touching the ground.

Initial movies are not played. Mouse sensitivity is far too high (though can be turned down to minimum). Examining items in the game requires you to move forwards then move back before you get the narration / events. Still playable.

I was not able to change luminosity setting, but it runs perfectly

Flawless.

Random crashes to desktop. Game appears to play fine

Hangs on launch. Works in regular WINE
