Played with Proton 9.0-4.
Occasional game freeze during combat.
Works out of the box with full controller support, native resolution support. Graphics settings must be tuned a bit so that the game stays close to 60fps out of combat.

Even with forcing Steam Input the game did not recognized the gamepad but using keyboard and mouse worked fine
Additional Note: Videos do also work (Intro videos and cutscenes)
Played the whole story in 20 hours, experiencing random freezes only 3 times during loading and some frame drops in chapters 3 and 4.
Not always, but often upon start up the mouse cursor was missing (even though mouse clicks still worked) and would appear only after pressing the Windows key on the keyboard and then returning to the game.
Some framedrops, one time as low as 20 FPS, during some sections of chapters 3 and 4, while in all other instances the game ran stably around 60 FPS without ever going below 50 FPS.
3 times in 20 hours of playing the game froze during loading and I had to manually reboot the system because alt+tab-ing did nothing.
Working perfectly out of the box.
Not thoroughly tested, but it seems to work perfectly.

Played about an hour into the campaign without any issues, never played the game on windows so I can't compare the performance, but I got a steady 30+ FPS with the default settings
