Don't even bother trying to run it.
The devs intentionally make the game incompatible with proton even though it's a F2P gacha game.
https://areweanticheatyet.com/game/tower-of-fantasy : Anti cheat not compatible.
Abriu o launcher e logou. Ao clicar em iniciar, fechou o jogo.
Got the launcher, but nothing else
If you switch to Experimental, you're able to get the launcher going. You can even log in and everything seems like it's ready to launch. But when you actually launch the game, the launcher crashes and everything stops. Going to agree with others, the anti-cheat software blocking this game from Proton (for now) is really dumb. Why does an anime gacha need anti-cheat software?
The launcher opens, but actually trying to launch the game just crashes the launcher entirely.
Can Install and open launcher menu then login to account using steam account. But unable to play.
Install this game and using Proton Experimental via steam. Can Open the launcher menu then login via Steam Account. But unable to play with it: the game will force to close when you launch the game. I think it need open as admin privilage since in Windows you must open this game as admin. But I cannot figure out how to open it as admin with proton.
Game does not even launch
gamemoderun %command%
You won't be playing on Linux
"your environment is abnormal"
The initial menu is displayed fine, which allows for registration and login. When clicking on Launch, if immediatilly fails with an error message "Your game environment is abnormal. Please restart the machine and launch the game again!" and the game exits.
Game installs, but displays "your environment is abnormal" on launch
Game devs mention SteamOS/Linux is not officially supported, but decided to try anyway through Steam because most reports I saw used Lutris. No surprise, still borked on Steam!
Doesn't even start
I tried default proton and proton experimental. I have tried this game before it came to steam, and this issue is most likely because of their anti-cheat.
Your game environment is abnormal.
Launcher doesn't fit correctly on the screen, after fiddling with the maximize button a few times I was able to get it to scale to the screen correctly so I could hit the launch button. Sadly after hitting lauch you get the same error everyone else is mentioning "Your game environment is abnormal. Please close the game and try again." Followed by the game closing.
Shut out by anticheat software.
Broken due to anticheat.
Your game environment is abnormal.
Please restart the machine and launch the game again!
Abnormal Environment message, unplayable.
Changed to GE-Proton7-19 to get it to run past loading (spinning Steam icon) stage.
Using the 2.0 version and Steam installer/launcher got to menu then clicking start (which was challenging since "Start" button was sized off page) then got "abnormal environment" dialog.
Still broken after Vera2.0/Steam launch.
Can't get past the launcher. "Game environment is abnormal"
O jogo instala sem problemas mas não executa. The game installs without problems but does not run.
Does not work via lutris with GE Proton
QRSL.exe - Anti-Cheat
Anti Cheat breaks the game on GNU/Linux
Your game environment is abnormal. Please restart the machine and launch the game again! Error Information: [1-1011-12301]
The AC is stored in QRSL.exe as far as can be determined and according to this user there seem to be kernel-level AC drivers involved: https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/wk4udd/comment/ijz8lp7/ In any case Steam Deck support has already been officially said to not happen which paints a pretty clear picture IMHO: https://twitter.com/ToF_EN_Official/status/1555670612005343232
QRSL.exe - Anti-Cheat: Your game environment is abnormal.
QRSL.exe - Anti-cheat
Gave it a basic hour of tinkering; the luckiest I got was getting the installer to work. The game is locked behind Hottagames' anti-cheat system
Launcher is working fine but when launching the game, the anti cheat kicks in and refuse you to start the game :(
