My laptop's fan goes brrrrrrr and the game performance so laggy. Even the very lowest resolution with Potato PC enabled still can't get the stable performance. But i think it's just my laptop.

Running Vega 6 iGPU. Way too underpowered; basically unplayable.
If you have a beefy computer, it should be an install-and-play experience and you won't need any tinkering.
Make sure to connect before opening the game
Saves files seems to not transfer correctly from windows
Since the next fest update the game runs slow on newer proton, use 7.0-6 for better performance
Since the update the game losses around 10-15 fps when inputing a command during a fight. Even the newly added "Poltato PC" setting doesn't help.
Uses 50%~100% of CPU all the time, the device gets hot, the fan spins loudly, and the battery doesn't last long.
I tried lowering the TDP. No luck.
Due to the default resolution + borderless fullscreen, some parts of the UI seemed to be displayed off-screen.
The default settings had a borderless window that had part of the UI off-screen.
High CPU usage and performance problems seem to be a recent issue, after taking a quick look at the Steam forums. Still, it's not enjoyable in the current state.
se juega fluido en Steam Deck
este juego se puede jugar bien.
Butter smooth and runs amazingly.

prerendered videos appear to be broken on nvidia gpus, my 1060 6gb would simply show the color bars test screen (no idea what its actually called), however after switching to an amd gpu this issue appears to be gone (though i cannot narrow it down to the gpu being the fix)
Basically unplayable and lagged all the way to the menu screen. menu animations sub 10 fps
Unplayably slow.
Fire game, has rollback netcode too
Kinda slow on few seconds, but it back to normal
The game plays fine OOTB with minor issues
The game doesn't seem to save changes made in settings for some reason
Resetting in training sometimes causes a slight lagspike
TDP: 12W + GPU Clock: 1200mhz
So there can be slight frametime issues, the problem is that currently on Auto the GPU Utilization will massive 70%+ carrying compared to the CPU. So you need to set the GPU Clock manually to reduce or outright eliminate any frametime inconsistencies otherwise known "stutter" in online matches.
Setting your own TDP will level out the GPU & CPU utilization.
I would say test with a friend and set your own manual GPU clock +TDP settings or just default to mine. I mean every Deck can/could do different results, but it should be relative.
But imo 11W TDP is the min for multiplayer (+)Combined w/GPU Clock of atleast 1000mhz. The Bar map that has multiple people in the background is a benchmark stage, lots of moving sprites. I suggest testing another map first & using that map to fine tune your manual TDP/GPU settings or just use mine.
Good experience for the game in quesiton.
screen sometimes flickers. Fixes itself after tabbing out.
Idol Showdown is known to have bugs and optimization issues even on Windows. Game will often stutter after a few matches or resetting the stage in training mode. Many problems I experienced isn't a product of proton.
everything works fine
some prompts are too small
- GE-Proton7-26 is the newest GE Proton version that worked for me. GE-Proton7-27 or newer all show "Make sure you have DirectX 11 installed" error.
- Newest normal Proton that worked was Proton 7.0-6, but that version has broken opening movie, so I have not tested it much more than that.
the game works better with GE-Proton since it removes microstutters. I haven't played it for long, or on windows so I can't say for certant that the game feels like it should (inputlag etc), but I think it does.
Launch just fine, doesn't seem to be any issues with the compatibility
A bit laggy, but might be game or my connection
Intro movie and background video in main menu may not play on certain systems (It was played fine on my Arch container with Proton 8.0-2 but didn't work for my host Nobara 37 steam).
Haven't been able to join any games in Lobby Finder, not sure if issue is the beta or Linux or something else, but was able to join friend's lobby just fine and vice-versa.
No issues at all. Used both proton 8.0-2 and Experimental
Game works perfectly! Just download and play!
Didn't try multiplayer.
Controller prompts are very small and hard to read on the deck's screen.
Title screen displays as a completely black screen, otherwise everything works normally. Resolution defaults to 720x400, but can be adjusted to 1280x720 in the options.
The control prompts switch to keyboard ones at some random point, and do not switch back automatically.
Experienced some bugs with the online, namely getting kicked out of lobbies and UI remaining on screen after it should've vanished, and some periods of substantial lag; these issues subsided after a while and may have been fixed in the first hotfix.
The game launches fine but has bad framerate issues on the deck from my experience.
The framerate seems to be all over the place jumping from 60 down to 40 and even 20 sometimes.
For a fighting game not having a consistent 60 fps is near unplayable. Works fine in training mode and stays at 60fps there but as soon as 2 characters are actually fighting the framerate goes crazy.
Game works perfectly.
I didn't try online but the game launches and plays perfectly.
Connect your controller before running the game, otherwise it won't recognize inputs (probably a game problem, not compat problem)
Game runs at ~30fps with dips to ~15fps, but that's due to my hardware, it would run the same on Windows
Pre-rendered videos don't play, showing one of these TV color test patterns, certainly a codec problem.
Other than pre-rendered videos not playing, game is completely playable.
