Native game, no compatibility problems except for the change resolution option.
I have a two screen setup (internal laptop screen + monitor) and use the external screen as the main one, but when I change resolution (say, from 1080p to 720p) the game moves it's window from the external screen to the internal one, and I can't move it back (I'm using Gnome, so I go into overview and drag the game window to the external screen), only way to get the game window back to my main screen is to close it and open it again. Thankfully for me I can use resolution scale still and there's no problems with alt+tab functionality.
Well, game works fine, didn't test the online function, since I don't use it much, although I also had problems with joining concoys on Windows.
Connect your controller before running the game, otherwise it won't recognize inputs (probably a game problem, not compat problem)
Game runs at ~30fps with dips to ~15fps, but that's due to my hardware, it would run the same on Windows
Pre-rendered videos don't play, showing one of these TV color test patterns, certainly a codec problem.
Other than pre-rendered videos not playing, game is completely playable.
Runs fine out of the box, but since this is a older game, it doesn't support 16:9 aspect ratios and higher resolutions natively
Game opened in windowed low res, and when selected fullscreen option, the "game window" was small, didn't affect me that much since I still could select my monitor resolution (1080p) and the game screen was the same as monitor.
I've used Luxtorpeda for that resolution issue though. Install it from ProtonUp-Qt from Flathub, and select as the compatibility tool for the game in Game Properties. The first time the game opens after, will appear a window asking to select a game engine, select "iortcw" and continue. Then just play normally.
What this will do is use a Linux-native game engine, which will give you better performance and for this game letting you select 16:9 resolutions.
No problems due to Proton, game will install and run fine like it would on Windows.
Maybe it's due to low performance, but sometimes my inputs were "sticky" and had some latency to them, which means my character would continue walking forward for minutes even after I would stop pressing forward on keyboard
Game has really bad performance considering its graphics and style, but maybe it is really like this because of my hardware
