Used Heroic Games Launchers implimentation of Winetricks to install dotnet45 for this game.
The GOG version of this game runs well using the Heroic Games Launcher, with tinkering. You have to install dotnet45 or you can't get past the splash screen. Then without a GE-Proton you can see all the videos in the game. Quickly setting GE-Proton9-11 during my install on the Herioc Games Launcher initial game install.
protontricks 1508270 --force dotnet45 (force because its says dotnet45 is broken with 7)
I could see the top bar and dock and the window bar.
winetricks dotnet45 (to get past a black screen)
Proton 6.21-GE-1 (To make cut scenes work)
The game relies heavily on the videos and since you can't watch them the whole experience is pushed down
After running the game for the first time and encountering the black screen, use winetricks dotnet45 to pass the black screen
Videos won't play
The game is playable from beginning to end, however you'll have to watch the videos outside the game which is terrible
Game gets stuck on black screen right after choosing language
Tried multiple versions of proton, checked everything is properly updated on my computer. It just didnt work.
The game starts and you can opt-in or out of 3rd party data usage.
Next you get a black screen with a mouse pointer. No more progress. Alt+F4 to exit.
