Played with PS5 DualSense controller. Worked perfectly fine without any issues.

I have been playing with the wife, who is also on a Steam deck, and everything is perfcect on both LAN and internet play.
Works as perfectly as online and LAN play.
All-in-all, an awesome experience on the Steam deck, as well as my desktop Linux install.

Game runs really well with the default setup, I recommend playing with 45fps for extra battery life and stability.
45fps
Frames would slightly drop on cutscenes when the book appeared, but these stutters would last for a second max.
Flawless multiplayer even when playing with someone at the antipode of my country (12hr difference)
Worked Perfectly.

Especially in the menu some text is really small
Second controller got disconnected and this caused the whole Steam Deck to freeze.
The second PS4 controller got disconnected after few hours and it froze the Steam Deck.

It's a solid game with an engaging storyline. Aside from the EA login annoyance, the game runs great. I'd definitely recommend it.
As others have stated, the game requires an EA (formerly Origin) account. It is annoying, and I strongly recommend a keyboard (and mouse) to complete the login. Once that is done, they aren't needed again.
I had the audio desync during some of the cutscenes. It typically fixed itself after a bit, but it seemed to only occur when there was a lot happening on screen.
There are a few minor stutters in the game. As others have mentioned, when the book sprite appears or disappears, if an area is really massive, or if the game needs to load in some assets during transitions. All of these are usually corrected within a few seconds and haven't been game breaking.
Pro tip: Bring a friend. This game is a pain to play solo with two controllers. I'll likely have to recruit one soon.
This game is 100% co-op. You'll want a friend (or a random stranger if you prefer) to experience the game properly. Also, the game requires internet access to load, even if you want to locally co-op. Blame EA. You can "work around" this on Steam Deck by logging in while connected to the internet and putting your device to sleep. Aside from these notes, this game is definitely worth a playthrough. It is extremely easy to learn the controls, each area introduces a new mechanic specific to that area which is also easy to learn, each area is well thought out by the game designers, each area has unique little quirks that, while unnecessary, show the imagination of the design team, and the storyline, while sometimes difficult to hear (especially if you're from a broken home), is well thought out and executed. Finally, I don't have any points regarding the game's music. I personally turn the music off on all games because I prefer uninterrupted sound effects. All in all, this a great experience that you won't soon forget.

Could not login with EA launcher using the Steam deck at all. We ended up creating an EA account on a mobile, then linked it to the Steam account we were playing on.
After doing this launching the game breezed through the launcher without issue.
Not sure if changing proton version was relevant, can't go back to try.
During launch the secondary EA launcher was complaining about syncing issues, options to resolve did not inspire confidence, shutting down the game and trying again launched the game without issue.
The side of the splitscreen you play on is determined by the character you choose, not the order of controller 'signup'

Frame Limiting to 45
EA App can be temperamental at times but even worst case just needs a reboot.
Completed the Game with all Achievements with two decks across the world from each other.

Nintendo Switch controllers keep disconnecting.
Once you get past Origin (I suggest loading it once in desktop mode for first-time set up for log in, then it will launch without a log-in prompt ever again), it's a very smooth experience. Playing it docked splitscreen with two controllers works just as you'd expect.
One weird thing is that Nintendo Switch controllers would keep disconnecting, even at full charge - this is a problem I didn't find on other games, so I suggest using Xbox, PlayStation etc controllers.

Lost my save twice, seems to be a conflict with ea cloud save
game would not launch once and I had to reinstall the game, this also deleted the save file.
the game seems to randomly delete your progress so i would reccomend locally backing up your saves.
Works perfectly, no issues with EA launcher except on logging that requires to use the virtual keyboard/physical keyboard.
In some moments the sound stops working
When exiting the pause menu, sometimes It takes a moment to continue. In some big areas, the game slows for a moment.
Works perfectly. I used two joycons and a pro controller.
This is among my favorite gaming experiences and I would happily recommend it to any steamdeck owner
Every time I launch the game from steam, there is a popup that displays 2 or 3 times for it goes away and the game launches as normal. I'm lead to believe this is the EA Games sign in popup. It takes about a minute, so as long as you're patient, it should go away and you should have no issues afterwards.
There was a point much later in the game where the audio and display would get out of sync. However, I pinpointed this to being due to me sleeping/waking the game too many times. In other words, instead of shutting the steamdeck down, I would put it in sleep mode. And the next time I would wake the steamdeck up and immediately resume playing the game. This worked most of the time without any issue aside for 1 or 2 times near the end of the game when I thought to restard the steamdeck and that fixed the audio issue
At one point, my ps5 controller had died and the game froze. I had thought this was the game freezing on it's own, not knowing a dead controller would cause this
No noticeable latency or random disconnects or anything. Using two PS5 controllers and the steam deck plugged into a usb c dock with a tv.
This games plays perfectly on Linux. On the Steam Deck you can reduce the settings from High to Medium in order to get stable 45 FPS.
You must log into EA the very first time you launch the game, you can use the on screen keyboard for this.
FPS ranged from 15 to 60 during cut scenes, and 25 to 60 during game play on default graphics settings (which is everything on high).
Can launch the game using two PS4 controllers, and the Steam Deck dock plugged into a 50 inch TV. No issues.
Jumpy FPS
The FPS jumps a bit between 25 and 60 FPS, during the cut scenes it occasionally dropped to 15 FPS (when the book guy teleports into the scene for example).
I’m getting a solid 45 FPS with the following:
- Display settings: All settings down to medium (from high)
- SD perf settings: Turning off FSR (it’s off by default)
- Camera settings:
- Resolution: fullscreen 1280x800
- Anti-aliasing: down 1 to FXAA
- Reduced “Chase Camera Assistance” to “weak”
I could probably bump up the settings to high and reduce the FPS to 30, but the 45 FPS feels nice and smooth.
Touchscreen necessary during first Origin setup
Random drops of audio once in a while, comes back after a second or two
Some frame drops during particule animations
Origin popped up on first install and needed me to use the touchscreen
Installing is not a smooth experience, because of the need to install Origin and create another account, but playing the game works good.
You need to use Proton Experimental currently. Proton 7.0 cannot start newest Origin.
