Runs perfectly, likely will work using any other proton version, i just used GE-Proton9-25 as a precautionary measure!
Had one crash coming back to the Valley from Ancient Isle in 5 hours of playtime
My crash was easily fixed with a game restart. Didnt detract from gameplay as it was a loading screen, but I did want to make the possibility known!

Stutters every now and again, but nothing drastic. Perfectly playable.
Upon launch the game may occasionally present a black screen that persist across the entire system. Just put the Deck in and out of sleep mode and it'll be fixed.
Pretty stable 30 FPS + high settings outside of some minor stuttering that doesn't really detract from the experience. You can get away with playing it at 1080p if you have a dock. I would recommend playing with graphics on high as some elements are very visibly jagged (e.g. shadows) even on the Deck's screen at 800p.

Game does not recognize keyboard and mouse making this impossible to use in a docked configuration.
Tried several different versions of proton without success

One thing to note is that you may need to turn off Steam Input for an Xbox controller if it isn't working since the game supports the controller by default. Reboot the game if you run into this issue and you should be fine. Tried this wired with a USB cable so it is unknown if Bluetooth or the Xbox Wireless Adapter will solve this issue without disabling Steam Input.

45 FPS cap.
Requires 1040 MB of free space on the C drive to actually launch from menu and play. If you're on the 64 GB Steam Deck like myself, this can be an issue if not maintained.

Hade to deleted and re-download the game to change the resolution from 1280 to 1920. It did not register the changes when trying to switch resolutions in game.
The game goes between 40-35 fps outside and 60fps indoors.

PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
For me don't work with proton experimental , proton v8 or proton GE. Only works with proton v7.0.6 and command line PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%

Limited to 40 FPS
Not really but it could be more confortable to read
If I go to the settings, the resolution is changed from 1280x800 to 1280x720.
As stated, all high, even resolution scale set to 2. Recommend locking to 45 but it can almost do 60. If you aren't worried about battery that is, but you can get roughly 2 hours.
While harvesting or planting, there some akward pauses
Playable with default settings, but I prefer framerate over visuals, so I set resolution scale to 0.75 making it smoother overall.
Works well and is stable
Audio doesn't work with Pipewire. I had to go back to Pulseaudio
Other than the audio not working with Pipewire, it's perfect.
Restricted to 30fps on medium settings and it's a smooth experience.
Native resolution not supported so game is played at 720p which isn't really noticeable or causes issues.
Hopefully the native resolution will be supported when it comes out of early access.
Only becomes an issue when shifting focus to another window (clicking into another program with the game still running)
Game wouldn't function prior to forcing Experimental. Got spam errors regarding internet connectivity.
Game would launch with Proton 7.0-4 as well as custom-built GE but when you start the game there’s a shot where you pan down from the sky over the castle, and the game would consistently freeze or crash at this point. Proton Experimental allowed me to move past this part. Haven’t tried to play with any of the other Protons since, but may try and switch back to the GE build to see if it’ll run fine once I’m past that panning shot.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Force Proton Experimental
Game seems to run fine at first startup. No native resolution supported for Steam Deck. After going through the character creation screen and continuing from there, the game freezes as the camera pans down to the Disney castle.
Gameloft cloud saves are used and I could not connect to the gameloft cloud and it forced me to play offline
Even at very low settings some hitching is present throughout the world
Running at medium settings is taxing for the steam deck and the frame rate would be around 50-60 fps with some dips here and there. Does not seem to use steam cloud saves but uses the Gameloft account for cloud saves which is disappointing. It has problems connecting to the cloud for save games and forces you to play offline.
I was glad I didn't have to really play with proton versions to play the game the only reason I changed to 7.0.4 was to get mangohud to appear but other than that the game ran pretty flawlessly
