Works Mint
Runs great out of the box!
No issues whatsoever.

proton-cachyos bugs achievement unlocks, switch to proton experimental. Otherwise fine.

starting DK2 with Proton Standard gives an error message (Steam not installed)

Everything works fine for local solo play. Even scenarios downloaded from the workshop. Didn't try multi-player.
Great game, works great on ChromeOS.

Fantastic out of the box experience
It ran flawesly on my WM + NixOS setup.
Installs and runs without issues.
The previous issue with a memory leak has been fixed in the latest version. I haven't found any new problems, enjoy!
Game version: v0.34
Game runs perfectly, without modification needed, on my arbitrarily-recent Glorious Eggroll proton prefix. I experienced no apparent degradations in performance or functionality. Full send.
Windowing. DK2 is well behaved as a window in i3wm. Fullscreen behaves as you would expect. Borderless-window works well and captures the mouse cursor; it is happy to give up the cursor when not the active window. Windowed mode isn't bothered by i3wm and can be moved and dynamically resized without issue. Very impressive.
MIssion Editor. The mission editor seems to work well. No apparent differences versus what is avaiable on native Windows.
The mouse spasmed around if the 'keep mouse inside borderless window' option was selected.
Unplayable FPS unless STEAM is launched with the -console flag
unable to launch
doesn't launch, and don't even get a log file to begin troubleshooting with.
tried all the common troubleshooting steps
Works out of the box. Runs consistently at 60fps at native resolution and high graphics options (default).
Features no controller support but an official control layout for keyboard & mouse emulation is provided (the touch screen can also be used).
After the new SWAT update (v0.31), I am getting a consistent memory leak. I have tried multiple Proton versions but there seems to be no difference in this regard. If I leave the game running during a mission, even alt-tabbed/in the pause menu/mission completed screen, the game will keep eating up RAM slowly. I've seen it go up to +8GB RAM usage before I shut it off.
I tested the previous version before the SWAT update (v0.29) and the issue is absent there. RAM usage is stable during missions at what seems a normal value (~850MB).
For anyone reading this, please check if this happens to you too! Would be very helpful in determining if it's a problem with the updated game's interaction with Proton, or just a "me" problem
Played with a friend on 5 different maps without any issues.
Download and play, super simple and fun.
Developers have actively worked to fix any Proton bugs.
Game runs fine with proton, devs even fixed a bug that happend in the last hotfix (they suport Linux+Proton).
Works Perfectly out of the box
runs perfectly out of the box, easily mistakable for native
Worked great out of the box.
disable hi-dpi settings in mate-tweaks, then add windowed -w 1024
to launch settings. But game runs in 4k resolution from the graphics settings in the in-game menu
had to disable dynamic reverb to get proper sounding audio
only native resolution supported

Works well, select newest proton version and play, no problems in my 70+ hours of playing
proton version 6.3-4

When i run my monitor in 19201080 the game runs without problem, but when switching my monitor to 25601440 the game overstretches and I can only see the bottom left side of the screen (zoomed in and cannot zoom out), the settings button cannot be reached.
I have tried modifying the resolution in the xml file but this does nothing.
Game does not run out of the box with experimental and 6.3-3
Just perfect, run out of the box!

Selected the newest version of proton (5.xx ore something like that) and installed the game. Everything ran fine.
I had one crash after making a ridiculously long movement chain
Short and easy setup with Proton 5.13-5
Outstanding game.

It just worked out of the box for me
Fullscreen with external monitor spanned both monitors and made it unplayable

Unplayable with all versions of proton currently available
Game starts with a bunch of errors, which you can ignore. This allows me to get to the main menu, where I can start any game mode (including multiplayer) successfully.
Once in-game, unit paths and drawn lines will not display. As soon as I hit "Go", the game screen freezes, but audio continues to play. Any updating text UI elements start duplicating infinitely over the screen.
Used Proton-5.9-GE-3-ST, other versions not tested.
As long as there's no nativ support, DK2 works flawless with Proton
This game is in Early Access so only the Windows version is available, native version will be released after EA.
When you start the game, error might show up, just click on 'ignore' multiple times and you will get to the main menu.
In-game the paths of your soldiers won't be visible, so beware it might impact your gameplay as paths can be important.

Note: this game is Early Acces at the moment, but the devs plan to release a Native release where all issues I stated won't be applicable
At the start you might get an error, just click on ignore and you will get to the Main Menu.
In game the paths that your soldiers take won't be visible. That is, the line that shows up between a soldiers starting and end point. Everything else works perfectly though! (so far)
