Purchased on the Halloween sale. Installed from library and launched. Game was reponsive, sounded perfect, and visually is as stunning as you'd expect.
Game will freeze whenever you get hit if playing on an external display/docked. Handheld mode is flawless.
Without Proton GE, cutscenes don't work. Audio only, no visuals.
For the freezing issue, the game works on external displays with Proton 4.2-9. However, cutscenes won't work and gamepad isn't detected, so you'll have to map to the mouse and keyboard.
There's a video playback bug, but I suspect most players of this have also experienced the Saturn original and as such know what to expect.
Video cutscenes render as a test video, with the original cutscene's audio and subtitles overlaid. Fortunately, the game prompts the player with an option to skip them. Real-time rendered cutscenes aren't a problem.
Gameplay generally is excellent.
Tested with fullscreen resolution switching and a wired Xbox Series controller.
Cutscenes are played with test video. You haf to use MF plat or Proton GE.
Playable save for black screens in place of cutscenes. Use mf-install or Proton-GE to fix video playback.
The game is perfect but needs Proton GE builds to fully work. 5.0.9 works fine but video scenes are just black screen.

When you start the game and alt-tab on its initial loading (loading before main menu). There is a high chance the game will just stick in black screen and you have to restart the game either by quitting via Steam or Process manager
