Works fine, including multiplayer as long as everyone is using Linux.
Multiplayer works but ONLY if all players are using the same OS. I've successfully played through missions as long as everyone is on Linux.
Runs fine, as long as you don't poke around too much
If you end up using GameConquerer on SteamOS/ChimeraOS or traditional distros, this game tends to crash fairly quickly after poking at memory addresses
Don't edit memory values or try any sort of modification injecting for too long, or the game might crash. Outside of that, the game runs flawlessly!
4X supersampling
The game will sometimes freeze (moreso pausing) during multiplayer for a couple of seconds at a time for all players and then will resume as normal. I'm pretty sure this more a server thing, but figured I'd note it down anyway.
Singleplayer works completely fine. Have so far played through the third mission, and am planning on finishing the game.
Most of the previous reviews (mostly from 2-4 years ago) note that multiplayer was completely broken due to failing anti-cheat. I played online with another Steam Deck and it worked completly fine. Did not test Steam Deck + Windows.
Runs perfectly OOTB.
Played through the first mission, zero issues thus far.
No issues, played till the first boss
If they don't care about playing multiplayer with their friends, I'd say it's a very enjoyable experience.
Not sure if there is an "anti-cheat" or if they just have a basic check that verifies the game but somewhere in the code, they verify the game state and it can't due to proton/wine possibly not having all necessary info and locks out multiplayer (you can join a lobby with others but when loading into the mission, it kicks you out for "Game state authentication failure, returning to lobby.")
Had to use Proton 6.3-7 (or Proton Experimental, used Proton 6.3-7 as it isn't subject to change unlike Proton Experimental)
Stuttering related to mouse movement.
Whether this occurs depends on the mouse -- the problem occurs with my normal (gaming) mouse but not with a cheap mouse which I keep around as a spare.
Runs good, maybe a bit slow for such simple graphics.
Runs perfectly out of the box
I haven't tried the multiplayer mode.
Single player works as native, no problem at all. Coop play with windows machine isn't working though due to "Game State Authentication Failure".
Game runs fine, but get authentication errors when trying to do Coop. I experienced this pre-Steam Play on wine as well.
For some reason the menus keep having the mouse go up on options endlessly...making it a tad bit difficult to select things...
Doesn't survive an ALT-TAB, works perfectly otherwise
Doesn't survive alt+tab
Can't use keyboard or mouse to select any items at the main menu.
No issues during 40 minutes of gameplay, except can't get back to game after alt-tabbing.
