Native Support
Although this game has a Linux-native build available, Steam does not list it as having Linux support. This can happen if a game has an unofficial, unfinished, or unsupported build. You may need to force Steam to enable Proton for the game in order to run properly.

I think that Hack the Planet is doing wierd things with keyboards that cause it to not work, can't say though.
Some games will not launch.
Trying to view a video opens an "Open File" dialog rather than a video.
Saw this rated as borked, and decided to try it out and see. Gave each game a quick try, so there may be broken gameplay or stability issues down the line. Firstly, for some reason it defaults to not using a compatibility layer at all, so you need to force proton experimental.
Other than that, most things work. Trying to open a PDF or HTML page shows a menu that lets you pick your native PDF reader or web browser. Videos do NOT work, but exist in the game files under "documents" as MP4s. Flash games do work with the included flash player. The SWFs, PDFs and HTML documents also exist in the install location, so you can access them directly.
Some games crash or have issues, as follows:
- Manufactoid (Released Version): Doesn't launch.
- Intelligent Destruction: Colour Picker in the build unit screen doesn't show colours (I assume it's a colour picker).
- Infinifrag 2 (Unreleased): Server and client can be launched, but the client can't connect to the server.
- Infiniminer: Doesn't launch.
- Project Typhoon: Crashes and amusingly shows an outdated crash report page.
- Hack the Planet: Not sure if this actually works. It launches and can start a game, but I can't seem to do anything to interact with it.

The game will not launch with steam. Going to the folder and using: "wine64 ZACH-LIKE.exe" started the game. Not all demo's work.
The "game" itself is used to navigate between diffrent demos and a few pdf. You can better look at the pdf's yourself if you are intressted in the book.
Native version and Windows version with several Proton versions not working.
Does not run.
shows a command line window for a second then crashes

No window.

No window

The launcher's process starts, but no windows open. The actual book in PDF form can be found within the "game's" directory.
Process starts and uses 25% cpu, but no windows open. Some games can be played manually using protontricks: █ protontricks -c "$SHELL" 1098840
█ Find a game and wine game.exe
█ Tested: █ - prototypes/infinifactory-early-build (works) █ - prototypes/hack-the-planet (input doesn't seem to work) █ - prototypes/opus-magnum-alpha-build (works) █ - prototypes/j-pla (input doesn't seem to work and crashes) █ - prototypes/typhoon-early-build (crashes when making a new game) █ - games/infiniminer (crashes) █ - games/flash (works. to play a flash game, select file>open>browse>file.swf) █ - documents/* (works, they're pdfs.)

ZACH-LIKE.exe runs in the background, but no window opens
