The launcher is broken
I can play the live version fine, but every time i try the test version the launcher says Insufficient storage. You need to free up 1GB of space where the game has been installed. and refuses to start the game.
i have only one mounted drive with 670G of free space and according to protontricks open explorer this also exists within wine.
--disable-gpu
If you do not set the startparameter --disable-gpu the launcher ill be all white though you can probably still login and launch the game if you know where to click

Planetside 2 has allowed battle eye to allow Linux users.
This is the test version and it runs out of the box no tweaks with proton experimental as long as you have battleeye installed.
The test version has little to no one playing it so take it for what it is worth.
It used battle eye
I think most linux users know the problem with battle eye but anyone new, if a game uses battle eye, it's hopeless. Yes we can edit the files to disable battle eye but then battle eye sees that as cheating and you get banned from the game.
Planetside Uses Battle Eye
Battle Eye is what is borking the game.
