great game, watch out for those ugprades some of them can basically cripple you.
I have the rock candy xbox controller, it works on others but not here. hmm
Starts out in polish, the language setting is ont he main screen and has a : in it. mouse over that and click to change it.
if choose a square box resolution instead of a wide box, parts of the gaming area get cut off. Not sure if that's because of Proton or because of the developer.
doesn't handle being minimized and then being unminimized.
Get's stuck on the "notice screen" won't advance when you click on "got it"
While I previously reported that it worked on 4.2-9, since the August 21st update, you can no longer get past the notice screen and into the game. It has become unplayable. I'm at a loss, I was really enjoying it.
don't play this with the keyboard, a gamepad will feel more natural.
Frentic grahpics, easy to master controls, nice maps. You're gonna love it.
it crashed as soon as I hit play.
this was using proton 5.0-7
initial full screen was larger than my monitors largest dimension, with difficulty I was able to adjust the resolution and restart. After first buttons didn't line up with the mouse, now they do.
all animation was choppy
It's incredibly close the start of the entire BLEACH story ARC as I remember it from the ANIME.
minimizing the game makes it impossible to unminimize
during combat the player runs to the left automatically, keyboard control is automatically selected. It does respond to you holding the other keys. The tutorial gets in the way of trying to select the controller if it is there.
As soon as you can make sure you config your control methods.
some puzzles not so obvious: controls mouse left and right click, that's it. right click is use. inventory on top of screen
follow the instructions for the roberta wrapper, the game will work flawlessly then. https://github.com/dreamer/roberta/blob/master/README.md
It’s like Arkanoid, but way more entertaining, despite the rougher graphics. Sadly, it no longer runs natively—either that, or whoever flagged it as 'native' is just brute-forcing compatibility across the board.
I tried the last two GEs, and the experimental. Went down through the available protons until I got 6.3-8. The issue is that with the others, the pause menu would appear in rapid fire. I suspect that this was caused by a recent update as to why the other user didn't report that as an issue. If it wasn't for that, I would've said it worked right out of the box.
Explicitly used: PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
without that mouse moves incredibly slow in the application but also in the entire operating system
Fixed by using the D3D11 option
entire system was slow with mouse movement until I applied the D3D11 fix
for a surprisingly old game, it is surprisingly kept very current
grame crashed in the part of the tutorial where sinestro and the other guy joined and as they were headed to ai core. I was running around smashing what didn't get smashed after the big robot fight.
and surprisingly, i know three surpisingly's now that's four! they kept if very current!
Fails with all current Protons
None of these can launch it: Proton 3.7-8, 3.16-9, 4.2-9, 4.11-13, 5.0-9, Steam Linux Runtime, 5.9-GE-5-ST.
I was thinking "but it's just a 2d game"
Contrary to what the experts say you don't need spreadsheets and a correlating database, but it sure does help.
Yes, I've been using the latest proton for each of the releases with no issues. But this last update EVE REIGN. Forced me to drop back down 5.10 to get EVE to run again.
6.1-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Followed the instructions of this post, else it wouldn't launch. https://www.protondb.com/app/359320#mgKLF3IeGu
I never left the starting quests, but it made me connect to an external server.
I had to set it on medium graphics to work. My stats are: Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.70.0 Qt Version: 5.15.0 Kernel Version: 5.4.44-1-MANJARO OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 8 × AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor Memory: 31.3 GiB of RAM
tried every proton from 5.9 GE down thru 4.11-13, nothing ever appears.
you have to choose an older version.
the entire game felt slow mo
The artifacts are strange glitches between screen switches, they don't remain on screen.
Make sure your drivers are the correct ones and that they are updated. In my previous reports, I didn't realize I wasn't using NVIDIA 470xx. I didn't notice the issue until I went to update my System Report, that's when I realized it was MESA DRIVERS and not NVIDIA Drivers.
turn based mmorpg with have ssp elements in a dynamic persistent universe
some dialogs on the screen smear the textures to the side of them.
The default Proton worked great with this!
some things seemed a bit off as far texture overlays go
one time the indicator that show the range I could walk and distance i could stop vanished. Restarting the level brought it back.
Used Pronton 5.9 GE to get it up and running, but now amount of mouse navigation works.
Tried it on other version of proton and none of them could even launch it.
couldn't see mouse pointer after the initial screen.
game locked up on the "system overview" screen.
you will have to set this to 7.0-4, so you will have to tinker.
i double checked on windows 11 and it does work, also it works on android phone.
I tried proton tricks to install the missing components, it would not work for the game. Proton tricks said it installed the components though.
I have this message:

Planetside Uses Battle Eye
Battle Eye is what is borking the game.
I used Proton Experimental that was available September 26, 2021. No idea which version that is, but Proton 6-10-GE-1 did not work.
It plays very much like how Josh on Let's Game It Out on Youtube depicted it.
When I was in any mode other than LOW this was the case. This game is geared at a card that is probably slightly better than mine which is an NVIDIA GTX 750 TI W/ 2GB DDR4. After setting it to low input was fast, but it does bog down again if there are too many unique items on the screen.
The game starts in ULTRA mode across the board. I had to set it all the way down to LOW mode across the board including for post processing. My graphics is an NVIDIA GTX 750 TI WITH 2GB DDR4.
lag when too many items were on screen that my NVIDIA GTX 750 TI W/ 2GB DDR4 could handle.
I'm thinking a desktop NVIDIA GTX 1050 TI is the minimum card you need to play this on MEDIUM setting. I will be buying a new card to replace the one I have now because of this game. I've had other reasons, but this is the straw that breaks the camel's back. ;)

A very nice game that doesn't appear to be developed but plays very very well on Linux
the screen wouldn't appear until i tried hotfix
Game No Long Supports Desktop
I believe it installed properly but they have since removed it officially from the Steam Store. You can still download and install it if you have done that at least once before.
It successfully displays the "Server down for Maintenance" Screen.
Hot Garbage on Linux
tried all the protons, thanks to the October 31, 2023 update, this game is now smoking hot garbage on Linux. Booted into windows. it works great there.
The October 31, 2023 update made sure all the other success will no longer work. :(
I recommend you use a game pad with this. The keyboard method, while very workable feels very cumbersome.
go and signup for the leaderboards, but don't link any accounts else you'll be stuck.
the link to facebook popup screen is 100% white and there is no way to escape or back out that screen, forcing you to kill the game, and then you have kill STEAM too.
If you like pixel games, you'll love it!
I actually didn't choose a compatibility, didn't check the box. I think that while it's marked for Windows, it actually ran natively. Probably because it's built in Unity.
