playable with the performance mod
if you play on intel igpu older than 2023 install the performance mod in the workshop are recommended it will increase your experience from 25fps to 40fps+ and the opengl or vulkan API do nothings in performance but in quality yes VULKAN are better than opengl

Low frame rates once a map is slightly busy and can crash
Once a game is too busy the Steam Deck runs out of RAM and crashes
About half of mods can't be launched with the game which is a nightmare to figure out which
Works great out of the box

Switching to Proton reduces the load on the CPU and GPU which was abnormally high in Native.

Runs like a charm
no tinkering needed.

Had to link latest libopenal.so.1 into the game install directory.
Audio sttopped working in Native Mode. Had to create links to /usr/lib64/libopenal* into the game directory.
This game is around 20% faster in Native mode as compared to running the Win64 version on Proton.
Works natively without issue

Game runs out of the box wether native or proton. I recommend using Proton Experimental as it runs faster than Native
In my case using the native version feels more laggy than the proton version
Runs flawlessly without any adjustments!
Runs flawlessly.

If u run ur game natively and it instantly stops, go to the game's folder and delete the two libraries libstdc++.so.6.0.25 and libstdc++.so in the extra directory.
I found the solution here

limited to 30 fps in the steam UI for a very low power draw

Works on native out of the box, and absolutely fine!

Devs added console support a couple months ago making this game a dream to play on deck. Recommend decky cloud save as there is no support for Steam Cloud saves

Läuft OOTB
Works perfectly fine out of the box
Don't use Proton - the native version works perfectly fine. I have >500 Mods installed and the game runs as good as on Windows. Even heavily game-changing mods like CommonAPI2 or NEP work out of the box
Works perfectly as expected.
Used to freeze in menu sometimes, but seems to be fixed with last update
Zoom & Rotate Cam on R Stick, Numbers & Numpad on L Trackpad Touch Menu, A/B/X/Y for Play/Pause Demolish Lines Vehicles, D-Pad for Rotate Building F2/F3 F4/F5
The game provides options for UI Scaling, unchecking Automatic (Scaling) and adjusting the scaling between 80% and 100% makes the text perfectly readable. It's a very logistics and management heavy game and sometimes the many windows may clutter the small screen but it is no issue whatsoever. I inverted the camera tilting axis in the settings and adjusted the zooming/scrolling sensivity via my control scheme (Turbo - 250 ms).
Upon starting the game the first time you are presented a warning about integrated graphics that can be safely ignored and turned off in the Advanced settings (Hardware Warnings).
Highly recommended, very good game, runs perfect on Deck.

Aucun problème en natif, mais de meilleurs performances avec Proton
En natif, le jeu tourne parfaitement bien, sans bug, ni problème. Quelques soucis de performances sont apparus en fin de jeu et mais qui ont pu être résolus par un passage sur proton.
TDPlock at 8W.
Some texts are tiny.
Using touchpad to move the mouse cursor is not handy. Left joystick is used to move around the map. X,Y,A,B button are used to zoom and rotate the camera.
Game works fine even on large maps.
Works great out of the box.
Good game. No issues with native version
Native works OOB
Provided libraries are out of date or incompatible and results in the game initially not launching. Can be fixed by changing the API from Vulkan to OpenGL in settings.lua (loacated in ~/.local/share/Steam/userdata/[steamUserID]/1066780/local)
Native game, run awesome
No graphic degradation at all, max graphic on megalomaniac size maps. Over 200 trains, 30 planes, 30 ships and nearly 3000 street vehicles, with lots of mods. Runs better than on my windows based PC. Love my Linux, now that I know most my favorites game, such as TPF2 runs .
Overall the game plays just like on Windows (I don't know how well it runs on MacOS)
For me at least the only graphic artifacts I noticed, where the once which can happen when altering a lot of terrain, however these a present under Windows as well, and seems to be a problem with the game itself
I want to quickly address performance. Yes. The game suffers from performance drops, however that is, from my experience, an issue with the game itself, especially on large maps the game is known to lack in performance. I tried the same save game both under Linux and Windows, and had the same performance issues, however they are not major, especially if you have decent hardware, however the general idea on forums seems to be, that RAM expansions can help, however I have not tried such things.

Desert biome is especially bad when it comes to something that looks like Z fighting or aliasing. Not sure what causes the effect, could be related to my GPU or could be a proton issue.
turn off vsync increase fps
street/track building process causes perceptible fps drops
Crashes while loading a Free Game. Verified game files, reinstalled, forced Proton. Now it crashes at different moments.
Runs with proton, won't start natively
Temporary Framedrops
When starting as natively installed game, the game will say Launching, then immediatly stop. Proton version has some frame drops
Runs fine on highest settings
The game window forces itself back into focus upon desktop or window switch. But Alt-Enter works to switch between fullscreen and windowed mode so this is not that of a problem.
The game itself is very playable besides the fullscreen issue.
