So the game installed without any problems including the Punkbuster Anti Cheat Service. The DLCs worked as well. Everything is playable, I played hours of Singleplayer and Multiplayer, the only issue is the performance. When either starting Singleplayer or joining a Multiplayer match the game lags tremendously but after playing for a little while it'll get better. But yeah the performance was quite a bit better and stable on Windows. It may improve in the near future as Valve continues to work on Proton.
Just hit install and then play. Everything works, no crashes, issues etc. Also didn't have any performance problems.
My favorite game of all! Had no issues with the installation. No tweaks or configurations were necessary. The gameplay was smooth, loading times were actually slightly faster than with Windows which was surprising to me. I even copied my game folder from my previous Windows 10 installation that had NVSE and all my mods which all worked! Was very surprised at all this.
Great experience with this one! One of my favorite games! It installed perfectly fine right out of the box. Just hit install and start playing. Got fantastic frame rates and even tried using my USB controller which worked as well.
The game worked out of the box, no tweaks, and no issues with installation. What was weird was that the game automatically set the screen resolution that I had to change to on Windows so that's neat. I haven't experienced any crashes, bugs, or performance issues so far. Game boot up and load time were faster than with Windows.
The game installed fine without any tweaks whatsoever. The loading times are a tiny bit longer than with Windows. As for performance, it's great, haven't had any crashes or any significant issues. There was sometimes lagging and low frame rates but I had it on Windows 10 too. All in all it was about the exact same as with Windows 10 excluding the increased loading times. So yeah I have to give this title a Platinum rating!
The game runs perfectly out of the box. I copied over my modded installation folder from my previous Windows 10 installation and pasted it where Proton installed it and had no issues. Performance and loading times were the same as with Windows.
No problems with the installation. No tweaks were needed. Started a new game and played for a couple of hours. The performance was great, along with the frame rates. I did not experience any crashes from those couple of hours. Mods also worked without any issues. Great experience, you wouldn't notice any differences from Fedora on my machine compared to Windows.
The game installed fine. In order to get it to actually launch and run properly I had to rename TS3.exe to Sims3Launcher.exe found in $HOME/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/The Sims 3/Game/Bin . Play for about an hour and the performance was good and I didn't experience any crashes etc.
The game installed without any issues or tweaks. The performance is about the same with Windows and so is the overall gameplay.
Forgot to select my Proton version on last report. The game installed without any issues or tweaks. From there I played the game for about an hour and had no issues with performance or with crashes and so on. All in all it was pretty much the same as with Windows 10. I had also messed with the settings and tried the different options which also worked. Great experience on Linux.
