If you use a more modern graphics card or CPU, this game would probably run fine then. Mine had to struggle to keep up 60 fps. Preset lowest
a little stuttery when moving the camera, but else running smoothly
Graphics settings were turned down to the lowest with 1080p resolution. But the fps didn't even reach 30fps.
Low fps
Mainly fps problems.
There was no difference compared to starting this game on Windows. Online Sign-In worked, synchronization worked, no audio crackling.
I had a USB-Audio-Interface plugged in. Manjaro switched Audio-Profiles to Default Alsa. But that caused the audio getting out of sync. Switch to Direct Profile for smooth gameplay.
You would need better PC specs or wait for better graphics driver/Proton to enjoy a gameplay that mirrors the windows experience.
I set 1080p window borderless and ultra textures. Everything else was turned off or on the lowest setting. Benchmark results were 59fps on average. I reached that average with higher settings on windows.
The menus take unusually long to load. Game runs alright, but sometimes you think, that the game crached when the screen stays black for so long (+5 seconds).
Sometimes, the RockStarGames Launcher needed some retries for the Cloud.
Graphic settings all set to low/off, Vulkan was on, 1080p borderless window. Benchmark resulted in 65fps on average. Sometimes, the menus stay black and take a bit to load (~1 second).
Works perfectly. Video-Cutscenes tend to stutter, but not severely problematic for the gameplay.
Some terrain tiles are flickering/losing light information/become a shadowed tile.
Small frame drops in areas with many effects.
No connectivity problems. Steam friends hosts were recognized.
