Game works fine if you use PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1, otherwhise the game stutters.
Don't know what went wrong in dxvk/proton9 so it crashes now, but on 8.0 it works perfectly fine.
I advise NOT to use WINED3D11 despite the comments below, because it would not use DXVK/Vulkan even if you say in other command lines it should, but the wine OpenGL implementation which stutters a lot even in this old game. The Proton 8.0-5 uses dxvk and runs a lot smoother.
Broken since today because of new launcher
Set Browser and BrowserVersion accordingly.
SquareEnix forces the new launcher now onto us due to a security feature linking the steam accounts to the SE-Accounts which obviously only works in the new launcher. Therefore, logging in with the old launcher as a workaround is gone and does not work any longer.
The new launcher requires MSHTML features not yet implemented in wine or proton, so we may be in for a longer wait.

Game locks up after the initial sequence when you get out of the cage, and after any "sequence", like after taking a tower - black screen, game hangs making it impossible to progress. Tried with GE, Proton 8-5, Proton Experimental.
For some reason locked up restarting a game from time to time, but not always.
Does not start (says it requires VC++ Runtime)
Wants to install VC++ Runtime. The installer crashes:

Crashes occur freqently enough, and performance is pretty bad, even on RTX3070ti
The "typical" gamer probably wouldn't have enjoyed it since it requires you to tinker to get it "properly" running.
For sound to work I had to put the .dll files from steamapps/common/KingdomComeDeliverance/Bin/Win64Shared/ to steamapps/common/KingdomComeDeliverance/Bin/Win64 .. .after that it worked properly.
Fullscreen was causing quite heavy frame drops and FPS issues. Borderless windowed mode didn't show that issues.
Map and other textures not showing
Permanently loosing items, progress, gold, crafting materials (proton and native)
Basically unplayable, every time you exit the game in offline mode, you loose a lot of stuff.

It works perfectly well, but I recommend using DXVK_FRAME_RATE to limit the frames since the engine has no option and does not limit frame rates (not even with vsync on) and will limit out your hardware, no matter how powerful.
