Game boots but weird graphical artifacting/streaking in main menu and in game.
As above, it is so bad that you cannot see anything, it's like weird streaks of light or textures or something. I have tried with different DE's, different proton versions and launch parameters like gamescope with no success. It may have something to do with Nvidias latest beta driver since other reports are vastly more successful than mine. Until/if I bother to do a rollback on drivers to confirm, the game will remain unplayable for me for the time being. It is also the only game I own with this kind of issue.
No issues here
I have done a full run through of the game from start to finish a couple of times, including it's current version as of this contribution. Without a doubt this game has had zero issues for me while playing.
Works Flawlessly OOB
I'm running the latest Proton version 9.0.1 and it is flawless. Fast load times, no graphical faults, no audio issues. It works just as good as playing on Windows 11.
When it works it works flawlessly, when it doesn't work it's an absolute thorn in the side.
Running dual monitors seems to be causing some windowing issues with getting the game to actually launch and not crash. Turning off one monitor will occasionally make the game launch fine but it is not a guarenteed fix which leads me to suspect that dual monitors is not the sole issue at play. This also was not an issue until the most recent CS2 update.
9/10 times I cannot get this game to launch. It boots up, doesn't even display the red valve logo at the start and then crashes back to desktop. Turning off one monitor helps to get the game running but this method isn't consistent. This also was not an issue until the most recent CS2 update.
Random server disconnects due to packet loss which is not present in any other game or device in my home network, purely related to CS2 only.
When the game runs it is flawless with no issues whatsoever but as of the most recent update to CS2, I am having more grief trying to get it to launch than I am joy actually playing.
Works Flawlessly
No tinkering required, no gameplay or graphical issues whatsoever. Boot it up and play :)
I used Proton GE but testing it briefly with stable release proton it still runs perfectly fine. Enjoy playing
It just works
I haven't even attempted tinkering with this game, it works out of the box no problems with any of the in game features as of the 4th patch release.
Works great
Works with no problems, I use a PS5 controller to play and all of the haptic feedback works great too!
I could not get this game past the initial bootup screens without using the latest GE proton. Once GE Proton was enabled I was able to get to the first loading screen upon bootup but experinced a game crash, relaunching the game seemed to work and after wating approx 7-10 mins I was in. Everything seemed to work besides some stutter on occasion once I was loaded in and moving around.
Game works great now and the long loading times issue is gone and has been for a little while. I play on the latest GE proton with this game only because it's a pre-alpha and being updated fairly frequently. It does work fine as of right now with latest steam default proton too
The game works as intended. Fast load times and stable gameplay. Even DLSS Frame Gen works flawlessly ("proton-cachyos (native package)" ONLY, based off of my testing). Now I can play at 100+ fps@4K. The performance is almost dead on par compared to Windows now.
Works OOB with no tinkering
As above, the game runs perfectly. Most of my hours in this game are on Windows and playing on Linux the performance at a minimum is the same and most of the time I actually see higher FPS on average. Overall a great experience!
It's not perfect but it is good and works well
Some flickering from light sources. Fairly minimal, in my experience it was worse with proton over native
Crashed maybe twice throughout an entire story playthrough.
I did experience some minor issues while playing which has been listed. Overall the experience was a good one. Just keep in mind that you do miss out on some graphical settings running native over proton. Not a big deal for me though.
Some minor inconveniences but the game itself works flawlessly.
Game boots but doesn't automatically display, Alt-Tabbing into the window brings it up no problems.
On the games library view with my PS5 controller plugged in, I had to click "View controller settings" and disable the steam input. Steam will claim the controller is not supported but it works fine and is the only way I managed to get my controller to actually work in game. Works flawlessly now though.
Beyond the minor issues mentioned below the game works fine. I've just played a multiple hour long session with no degradation whatsoever. The game itself is issue free for me.
Works with no problems
Most of my hours in this game are on windows and after switching to linux I can say that this game runs no differently than it did on windows for me. Everything works fine.
It works perfectly using the latest stable Proton build
Smooth like butter
Need to force compatability with a proton version (just use the latest release)
Rocket league used to have a native port which is now discontinued and has been for quite some time. The only problem is that it's still apart of the game so when you download Rocket League it downloads the discontinued linux native version. You'll need to force proton compatibility through game properties and re-install (unless you force compatiblity before downloading). Actually playing with proton though the game is flawless, literally 1:1 with Windows.
Works out of the box
I haven't had to do anything out of the ordinary to get this game to work. Latest version of proton boots and plays perfectly fine in all aspects of the game.
Works great!
This game plays great, I have no issues with this game at all. I personally use the Vulkan launcher because I have noticed vastly better performance for an identical graphical look but default UE5 works fine too.
gamescope -W -H -r %command%
Mouse would leave the game screen and move to second monitor. The stated launch options are what fixed this for me.
Please note that the launch options I've used are to resolve the mouse issue listed above. The game runs perfectly otherwise, after placing that launch command I have 0 issues with this game.
