Had to fight UPlay (I really considered installing a cracked version, but finally I copied the game's Uplay "secret" from Windows install and it works. Why Ubisoft bothers so much paying customers...). The game works flawlessly then, even the problem with glittering of some enemies with current Nvidia drivers is solved. There are some really minor graphics glitches in HDR mode, the same as in Windows. Haven't needed any additional Wine (Proton) tweaks.
The problem with UPlay can be solved with ""protontricks 321960 uplay". UPlay starts then, tries to start the game, but nothing opens except UPlay icon in Wine tray. Process with the game runs at 100% CPU but shows nothing.

The game freezes every time after the herbalist set creation. I have tried to skip tutorial, install custom Proton mentioned here. Nothing helps.
The game is mistakenly treated as native which isn't. Had to set manually to be launched by Proton. Then it works. Didn't played then, perhaps my son will report more later.
