Movies will not play unless using GE Proton. The resolution defaults to 1080p, and needs to be adjusted for 720p.
Graphic settings are outside of the game. By default, the trackpads don't function as a mouse and will require using the touch screen to adjust. Works great at 60 fps.
The in-game text was fine for me but I could see others suggesting it's hard to read.
Needed to map all action keys
Game does not support gamepads, but they keys can be mapped to gamepad controls.
Borderless Window mode seems work best at this early stage of the game.
Initial screens require using the touch screen. The first screen will say Press A to continue/start. You have to use the touch screen at this point.
At the moment of this writing, the game will only work in Desktop Mode. It will require GE Proton 7-49 or greater.
The initial tutorial/first mission will not launch. It will either freeze on character selection or when loading the first mission depending on Proton version used. I was not able to use any of the command line options from PC reports to Mae it work. You will need to complete the first/tutorial mission on a Windows device, then the title will work on SteamOS going forward.
Text is very small. Magnifying doesn't always help.
Audio wouldn't work until forcing Proton Experimental
Need to configure "Other Keys" to be able to access the menu to save and quit.
The game now launches when using Proton Experimental. You may need to manually set the controls in game to gamepad/Xbox if you have never played the game before and don't have an existing save.
Audio didn't not work until switching to either Proton Experimental or an older Proton version.
Once forcing Proton versions, the game will not close cleanly.
The menus seem to partially work using gamepad controls and partially needing mouse or touch screen.
If you accidentally select Window mode, it will only use 2/3 of the screen.
It does show the mouse pointer when in the menus even though everything is controlled by the gamepad controls.
The game only supports keyboard and mouse. The default control layout for keyboard and mouse work fine while playing. The menus are easier at times to use the touch screen.
Text is a little small. Depending on your vision, you may or may not have a hard time reading some of the menus.
In game text is hard to read. Using the Deck Magnifier helps but it will be a bit blurry.
The menus must be controlled with the DPad on the default settings.
Single player works fine. Initially will require using trackpad or touch screen for the initial login prompt. Did not test multiplayer.
Some text is small. It doesn't affect the gameplay.
This title required forcing Proton Experimental. After that, everything worked as expected and played great.
No audio during video cut scenes
The game functions without tinkering. The game videos play, but there is no audio during the videos. The videos are not required for the gameplay.
