Didn't change a thing, worked better than when I played on Windows AND I was using the new mods which all ran perfectly
There is a problem whereby you will be kicked from Multiplayer games after about 5 minutes by Punkbuster
Can't remember if I just ran the Linux version or not, but you NEED to install Punkbuster seperately from here - http://punkbuster.com/pbsetup.php
This isn't a specific issue with Linux, friends who run Windows also had the same problem and neede to do the same thing
Mouse would disappear every now and again when playing Multiplayer matches, I have to hold Alt + Tab and move my mouse to where I want before I release the them
This happens most MP games, if not all and happens multiple times during them
Runs smooth, mouse issues are manageable for me. If that didn't happen the game would be perfect, but if that happened to the average gamer it would totally ruin the experience and probably make it unplayable for them
When changing resolution, the game can permanently become minimised. I found changing to low res, fullscreening and then back to 1080p or higher it worked. Until you tab out and it happens again
Glorious Eggroll 22 Proton layer seemed to fix this issue, no need to changing settings like above
Just be careful with fullscreen/changing res, until I messed around with those settings it was perfect OOB
Just be careful with tabbing out a bunch
When playing multiplayer zombies, tabbing out caused significant stuttering. It seemed to fix when other players came next to me though?
Played both Multiplayer and Zombies with friends, no issues at all
Runs smooth, online works well. Slightly poor performance compared to Windows but honestly barely noticable
FPS is slightly lower than Win 11
Game was a complete pain to get running. Completely borked when using the native Linux Steam launcher
Need to install Steam through PortProton and install/run it through that version: https://flathub.org/apps/ru.linux_gaming.PortProton
I also couldn't figure a way to point the PortProton version of Steam to my previous install of GTA so I had to reinstall it again
But after that, it worked first time with no dramas
If you want to only play single player, works great Online is completely BORKED due to an anticheat intergrations which R* implemented
Minor FPS drops compared to Windows
Not necessarily a bug. But online is completely BORKED with no sight of it ever coming back
Played a couple games of multiplayer and did zero tinkering. All ran smoothly, no issues
This isn't a Linux specific issue
Stutters | low FPS per graphic quality | Had a few crashes recently
Game works basically the exact same as Windows | Mods also work just fine
Game crashes at the end of every round
Crashes at the end of every game
__GL_THREADED_OPTIMIZATION=1 %command%
Without downgrading the graphics, game runs at like 10fps
Stutters
Without the changes, game is unplayable. Sub 15fps in built up sections
