Runs Like Native
Had to change fullscreen resolution to 1920x1080 in settings first time opened, but otherwise no issues. Picked up my primary 144hz monitor, too. Tried GE7-30, 7.0-4 and default which all worked.

In the main menu and occasionally through loading screens.
Game will pause to load environment textures, during which the player can clip inside loading terrain. After moving the game to an NVMe 4.0 drive and setting textures to Medium this no longer occurs.
Performance is great, picks up monitors fine, and FSR upscales 1440p to a 4K60 TV without any issues. Also works at 144hz without tearing.

Apparently they're working on a Native Linux version and looking into added EAC. Not sure in what order, but adding EAC may end up temporarily borking the game in the future.
Had to unplug-replug my Xbox controller to get it working, but otherwise no issues whatsoever.

Weird extra windows appear when typing in chat, but does do anything.
Had to reinstall on Android, login with old Google account, then link that account to Steam in order to carry over save game data.
When trying to join/invite players on other platforms (e.g. PC to Android) it fails and states non-PC users are using out-of-date versions of the game. Will likely work upon full release.
Aside from the minor issues above, playing via Proton was almost seamless, and even my Xbox controller was detected straight away. It switches UI based on the input used instantly.
Excellent Native Title
Didn't have any issues at all. Just install and play. Haven't tried out any mods yet.
Native Works Flawlessly
With DLC and mods the game worked great, no crashes at all, only bugs encountered were caused by out-of-date mods.

Game ran fine OOTB and modding was easy to setup. I used modorganizer2-linux-installer on Github. Tied the account to Nexus Mods and began downloading. Have not encounted any issues.

Installed since it went free, launched, logged in automatically with an EA account linked with Steam and started playing after adjusting resolution. Basically native at this point.

DX11 mode has worked great for a while, but DX12 finally works with Proton Exp (8.0+). A stable 1080p 144fps capped on High-Ultra+ settings with Hairworks. Also tested in-game FSR 2.1 on Performance mode to upscale 1080p to 4K 60fps, which looked great, with no noticable artifacts or perf loss. My PDP Xbox controller also works OOTB. All it needs now is HDR via GameScope.
A Playable Native Mess
Certain texutures, like sand and grass, had odd little squares all over them not present in the Windows version. Easy to ignore and coloured correctly, but still odd.
Ignores Primary Monitor in my dual screen setup and requires manual movement to the correct one or disabling of secondary monitor.
After moving WT to Primary Monitor, moving my cursor too far will go outside the game bounds and onto the second monitor. Maybe its not Exclusive Fullscreen but Borderless?
FPS worse than on Windows. Dropped from 1080p 144fps capped to 90-120 and never went over 130fps regardless of settings. Also, gameplay felt stuttery/shuddery, with moving objects seeming to rubberband rapidly. Input latency was noticably higher.
WT has always had bad servers, but at least they're not any worse than on Windows.
As someone with 1k+ hours in WT this port is a joke. With medium-high settings Windows performed much better, even if using minimum settings. That's fine by itself, but the terrible input latency and juddery rubberbanding constantly pulsing slightly was very off-putting. Felt like playing underwater.
Bug Thunder
All surfaces flash a blinding white for a few seconds or minutes. Likely a reflection/luminance issue. Only happens with Vulkan and is NOT a Linux-only bug. Windows users on Vulkan also get this. The bug report has gone unfixed for 5+ months (https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/o7aGnDlCYlCB)
After a few games it starts stuttering and only goes away after restarting the game. On Windows you just alt+tab and it goes away. This does not work on KDE or GNOME. My fps drops from 180 to below 90. If I stop moving the mouse it stops stuttering. It could be related to WT's new UI overhaul. Disabling VRR did nothing. Disabling Vsync seems to fix it, but I get screen tearing. Maybe gamescope will help. I have also added WT to ananicy-cpp, but this did nothing.
The game is still playable with these two issues at the expense of my sanity.
LD_PRELOAD="" %command%
WT randomly starts stuttering while playing. It started happening after the UI overhaul. Using the LD_PRELOAD Launch Option seems to have completely fixed it. I haven't had any stutters since adding it.
I stole the fix from Counter-Strike 2 players using Vulkan on Linux who also had stutter issues. I figured, since both CS2 and WT are Native Vulkan games the same fix might work. And it did. No more stuttering.
