Had poor control lag (seconds long) and freezing in full screen. Better performance in windowed mode with a very small window size, but still short freezing every once in a while. It's still kind of playable, but the freezing is annoying so bronze seems appropriate.
I had serious issues yesterday, but today I am able to play with near flawless performance. It even works great in full screen!
Game briefly stutters upon entering a new screen
Will occasionally crash. However, I'm pretty sure the game saves every time you enter a new screen, so you'll be fine.
Won't start under Proton, but it does start under Wine.
Pressing the play button in Steam will not launch the game. I had to launch noita.exe with Wine for it to do so.
It will not start under the latest Proton version. You have to use Proton 4.11-12.
Works great. I get a little bit of lag, but it's probably just my old CPU.
Unfocusing the window while it is in fullscreen causes the window to turn black and the game to freeze. Also, my gamepad doesn't work in fullscreen. Make sure to go into settings and disable fullscreen before playing, and it'll work perfectly!
I tried MANY Proton versions to get this working. Here's how it works in a few of them:
- 6.12-GE-1: Opens some sort of loading screen and then closes
- 6.10-GE-1: Opens to a black screen and then closes
- 6.9-GE-2: Opens to a black screen and then closes
- Experimental: Poor FPS regardless of graphics settings
- 6.3-5: Poor FPS regardless of graphics settings
- 5.13-6: Runs perfectly
- 5.0-10: Runs perfectly
So if you're using anything after 5.13-6, it probably won't work very well.
Note about input support: I only played using a mouse and keyboard. I did not test any other input methods.
