HDR mode was grayed out despite running under gamescope --hdr-enabled
Completely unplayable, 5-10 FPS even during character creation
Sometimes launched into black screen or with graphical corruption
Sadly had to refund as it was not possible to play
Controller causes severe FPS drop (~40 fps), had to switch to KB+M
Controller caused severe in-game slowdown
FPS was very bad when using a DS5 controller
I would normally prefer controller for this game but the framerate was quite low (40 fps on controller vs solid 175 fps on kb+m)
Worked pretty much out of the box. I don't suspect any of the issues are tied to Proton specifically.
I had one driver crash. I don't know if it was related to Proton or just a bug in the graphics driver.
Multiplayer is extremely dependent on ping. The netcode is awful and most servers are unplayably laggy. But LAN or regional play is perfect.
Works out of the box but freezes on exit
Game freezes on exit, solved with pkill -9 MurderByNumbers
Works fine except for some minor graphical issues with RADV on highest settings. Switched to AMDVLK to fix them.
VK_ICD_FILENAMES=/path/to/AMDVLK.json
Flickering grass on highest settings when using RADV. Switched to AMDVLK to solve the issue.

My DS5 was initially detected (via forced Steam Input) as an Xbox controller, but after launching the game up the next day, it stopped working and never worked again. I tried disabling Steam Input, and I also tried plugging it in via USB (which should work, according to the game itself).
Pretty laggy, though might be the game itself
I played it for about an hour but can't continue because my controller stopped working and nothing I try will restore it.
Tried a number of modifications to the wine prefix
Windowed mode sometimes broke too
DS4 not detected
Things I tried:
- Forcing steam input on or off
- Enabling only PS mode in Steam Input settings
- Enabling only Xbox mode in Steam Input settings
- Using xboxdrv to emulate an Xbox controller (works fine on Linux and shows up in wine as a new joystick type, game still doesn't detect it)
- Disabling all joysticks in wine's control panel except one (tested for all of the joystick configurations above)
- Launching via Steam Big Picture mode
- Changing permissions of /dev/uinput
- Deleting all /dev/input/js* devices except the one for the DS4
- Unplugging all input devices except for the DS4
- Using DS4Windows (configuration program doesn't run)
- Using x360ce (installer didn't work, tried copying .dlls from elsewhere and adding xinput DLL overrides - made no difference)
Enabled dinput8 override to get the mod launcher to work
Switching between fullscreen and windowed mode was a bit tricky. In windowed mode, the game can't auto-update its resolution. In fullscreen mode, it sometimes doesn't correctly fullscreen. It seems to work at 1440p as long as I don't touch the window after starting up the game.
After an hour or more of trial and error, I eventually solved the controller detection issue by going into the steam settings and enabling the steam overlay, which is required for stream controller emulation.
I also installed a mod to fix the controller button layout to show up as a DS4 controller instead of an Xbox controller.
Very heavy stuttering when loading new zones, lasting a few seconds. Doesn't usually happen during combat (but in rare cases, can).
Game caused occasional GPU hangs, taking the entire system down with it. I have yet to debug the cause and/or find a fix.
Resolution selection is glitchy but game works perfectly
The resolution selection dialog has severe graphical glitching, but the actual game works fine
Unplayable, <10 FPS
Fullscreen needs to be toggled off and on again sometimes, windowed mode also doesn't consistently work
Unplayable, 10 FPS
I tried using wine
directly instead of launchin via Steam/proton, which got me up to something like 20 FPS, but regardless, it's still basically unplayable.
