Downloaded, installed, played. Just works.
Probably with newer Proton versions aswell. For me sometimes SteamVR refuses to start nearly any game after on has crashed which confuses the process to find the issue/working Proton version and so I was left with this version running after a system restart and did not change it.
Anti-Cheat failed
Game stars fine on different Proton versions but as soon as you want to start a match you get disconnected telling "anti-cheat integrity check failed (0x2200). you have been disconnected".
Audio devices (especial microphone) do change sometimes. Could be after playing it on Windows. Not sure yet. Steam "syncs"/"updates" the game after changing OS, too. Saw no option do disable this.
Sometimes mouse focus goes to desktop. Maybe because of windowed fullscreen and/or second monitor. Not sure yet.
Crash(ed) mostly after playing a couple of rounds and then when exiting. Removing any launch options seemed to fix this so far. Not sure which one does the trick.
Gamma slider does not work.
Don't forget to install "Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime" from within Steam and use actual Proton(GE) version and you should be good to go!
Not working since last update (I guess due to EAC)
After loading the game I automatically get a message displayed saying "cheat detected" and the game closes itself. Sad - it did work before and I even told them on their Discord to enable support for Linux before integrating Easy Anticheat.

Regular crashes related to having only 16 GB of RAM. Managed to workaround by upping zram from 8 GB to 16 GB as well. Like on Windows workaround was to use a bigger pagefile (30 GB).
Since latest update EAC works now.
Performance similar to Windows. On shooting range even more fps but not on the map. Tried different Proton variants and version. No performance difference. Startup video does not show with standard Proton so I stick with GE which fixes this.
