Something is running invisible and unplayable in background and has to be forced to kill.
i generally lower FPS to improve battery performance where possible on the deck.
Game ran out of the box - but was nearly unplayable on my system until using the PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command% switch. Using the reduced graphics settings as suggested before was clearly not enough here. After using the switch the game works well for me.
Ran great after using Wine D3d11 - but froze while leaving the game.
Only played it short. Runs fine after adding PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Game did not start before enabling D3d11. Game seems to be nicely playable - with some minor flickering on my laptop on some surfaces. Not a game stopper!
Played the tutorial and the first levels. Game runs great. I chose only silver rating because of a crash. But I am not exactly sure where that came from.
I did play this not with Proton, but with the steam-dos wrapper (native dosbox: https://github.com/dreamer/steam-dos) and with a Steam controller . So far I only played game 1 which does have a random Steam controller detection (from "very good" over "acceptable" to "not at all"). But the game is generally playable with native dosbox! It may need several starts though. Did only test the sound on game 2 (which worked).
Game runs OK without tweaks here - but has a better performance using PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
works with PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command% Recommended tweaks: Use Wine D3D11 After using the D3d11-tweak the game runs at all although there are stronger sound distortions from time to time. Those do add atmosphere (…) but it's probably not how it is meant to be?
Only played several minutes. Game worked well after using D3D11.
No start of software in standard configuration. A launcher will appear but the software will not start.
Switched to previous stable version of the software but without success.
