Game plays right out of the box, butter smooth. Multiplayer works as expected. Tested both joining and hosting.
Inital splash screen appears but never launches the actual game
I was able to get the game installed through the BattleNet launcher but when trying to launch the game it only gets to loading the splash screen and then at the very end of the loading bar it freezes and gets stuck. No matter how long you wait it never launches and the only way to close it after that is to force quit the application.
Lots of artifacts when trying to launch the game without Wine D3D that make the game unplayable.
Included WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" in launch options to fix missing audio
Got through the introductory/first night just fine, FPS was solid. Overall everything seemed to be working perfectly.
Need to force compatibility mode to use Proton 4.11-13. All newer versions result in black screen with audio.
Had to force the use of Proton version 5.13-4 before the game would launch. Would not run using default Proton settings out of box. Graphics settings left at auto-detect.
Crash to Desktop on Connect to Xbox Network on initial launch
The game installs and tries to launch but causes an assertion failure in Vulkan.
"!status && "vkCreateGraphicsPipelines"" appears on the screen that shows "Connect to the Xbox Network". Does not allow me to advance any further.
vkCreateGraphicsPipelines Error
Updating a prior report now 24 hours later. Did a few updates to drivers and core system libraries but still the error related to "vkCreateGraphicsPipelines" occurs.
It appears I can get as far as "Loading Weather" and I can get anywhere between 53-63% and then the error box appears twice. The first time the box appears it's "non-fatal" and can be ignored. The second box is fatal and crashes the game where I have to completely force quit the game.
I'm not able to progress any further or make it to avatar creation. I cannot even see the first menu of the game outside of the intial startup launch portion. Also noticed at least a minor improvement is the intro video that plays during this load up plays this time where yesterday it was completely black.
