Apparently save games aren't cross platform
Runs slower than usual (for some reason).
Very good game. It works just fine on the latest stable proton (Proton Next)
Runs at 1000 frames per second. Never had a game do that, others were always stuck at 75

When windowing from fullscreen mode, the game takes a lot of resources, so it slows down the desktop by around 50%. Tabbing into the fullscreen game solves the slowdown of the desktop.
The windows version of the game has a different save than the linux version of the game, so please make sure that you are using the windows version as it is the most up-to-date (since the Epic Games compatibility layer update).
The launch commands add modding if you would like that (and I recommend it, use SuperBLT to get started followed by installing BeardLib).
PLEASE NOTE: if you are experiencing crashes, it could be due to these issues:
- your graphics are too high. turn them down (it seems it could be shadows that is the problem).
- you are using HQ weapon models. turn them off.
When the game does crash, I restarted my computer to make it work again. Might have needed to reprocess the vulkan shaders?
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%
Had to load in the textures when it started.
I am forced to use both GE and that one command that nice person recommended for this to work.
Works really well, highly recommend it (proton next)
Works just as well as playing on Windows
Make sure, when you start the game, to change the rendering engine from DirectX to openGL in the trove settings, it will save a tiny bit of grief.
gamemoderun %command%
At very, very random points: game would stick a movement key down. Press Esc (or go to the game menu) to undo the stickyness.
