Has an error when playing songs through the shop and changing play settings. Doesn't inpact ability to play game however
Works just as it should work.
Works practically flawlessly
Crashes Waybar on boot for some reason???
I'm a little mad about Waybar crashing but in reality it's not big deal
video from story did not play with default proton, fixed with protonGE
launching with proton7 causes steam (and the game) to crash
With some minor tweaks to counteract Linux desktop quirks, it virtually runs better than how it did on Windows.

[CLASS] ranking isn't registered; other save info is good, afaik.
Aside from launch command for QoL purposes, I'd recommend setting FPS target (in-game setting) to within VRR range to minimize stuttering, if applicable - disable VRR for your monitor otherwise.
Tried both GE and Experimental, both failed.
Works great
The only bug that is likely Linux-only is the "User Manual" option in the main menu not opening the user manual. You can open it from the Steam library though.
the game functions!!! :D :D :D
ocassionally the input would become like half a second delayed for a few seconds
cool game!!!
The save from steam cloud got wiped after install
The cloud save got wiped after installing tho?
It probably would be fine if I could use Gamescope, or if I was probably using an actual DE like KDE.
I think this has to do with the window manager or compositor I use, unsure.
The game didn't like me switching workspaces, so keep that in mind.
There's literally no difference besides the windowing/fullscreen issues. Granted I had to fullscreen through my compositor, but other than that, it's pretty much identical to what you get to Windows.
I didn't change any settings, my offset was pretty much the same as my Windows install, using the Windows in-box sound drivers, it was pretty much a perfect experience ignoring the probably specific only to me issues I had.
Works well out of the box.
When I first installed the game on Linux, Steam wiped my Windows save from the cloud. Consider making a backup of the saves from the AppData folder if you have saves on Windows, just in case.
Perfect OOTB experience
Ran right out the gate. Didn't need to even tweak offset, everything felt as smooth as it did on Windows. Great beginner-friendly VSRG, by the way!
Game doesn't launch at all: updating launch params won't work
PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 gamemoderun %command%
Some songs have its textures/effect missing, due to being run on Proton
Songs with high notes count causes heavy lag at the start of song, which dissipates as the song ends
Running on GE Proton is essential for some effects to appear. The recent game update drops the FPS by a lot due to updated GameMaker runtime, and might be better on future update.
Discord activity works with wine-discord-ipc-bridge.
At this state, on my PC, it's not enjoyable to play high difficulty songs with Linux.
Works great!
works fine out of the box without any tinkering

issues launching after 3.0 are solved, game is working great, no stutters or anything.
3.0 Update breaks compatability

since the 3.0 update I have not been able to launch the game :(
OK for casual play but higher difficulties experience frame drops that get in the way of gameplay
PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%
Intermittent frame drops on higher difficulties which do not exist on Windows
Still a great game that mostly runs well and the frame drops may bother you less than me, but it really got in the way of finishing the chapter 1 ending chart for me.
PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 /opt/wine-discord-ipc-bridge/winediscordipcbridge-steam.sh %command%
Warning Game start flashing when switching to a different monitor!
When using PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 I got a good performance boost 80 -> 150 fps
A few crashes but game is still in early access. Saw same crashes in the Steam Discussions page so not a Linux issue.
For Discord RPC support install the wine-discord-ipc-bridge-git
and add /opt/wine-discord-ipc-bridge/winediscordipcbridge-steam.sh
to the advanced launch options
Occasional frame drops, better than when running on GE
Doesn't launch at all, DLL type mismatch.
Piping stdout and stderr to a file, the end of the file is filled with Machine type mismatch - DLL is type 332 (x86/I386), game is type 34404 (x64/AMD64).
Only issue is that the controller can't be remapped, but it work as it is. It's a free game so give it a try :)
Tried using wine-discord-ipc-bridge
to get discord rpc to work but to no avail.
After playing a round the screen just blacks out instead of a scoreboard or whatever is supposed to be there
might be fixable, but since im not to interrested in this type of game i didnt try

As long as you're a fan of rhythm games, I highly recommend this. And if you're not, try it out anyways. It's free.
