There are rarely some graphical artifacts in the sequences.
When alt-tabbing in and out sometimes the mouse courser stays visible even when playing with controller
Apart of the mentioned little things: Sometimes the elevators get stuck. Most time I had to wait until this thing got moving was around 5 minutes.
Set TDP to 10W for a good battery life without loosing performance
Tiling-WM related: Changing the screen or workspace leads to problems. The game seemingly tries to stay on top of whatever screen / workspace you switch to but fails to do so fully. I had to switch to another tty and kill the process to fix it.
Start from Big Picture Mode leads to the same problem.
Same problem as with other games, which use only auto-save and have only one slot: Auto-saving at the wrong time can corrupt your save-file.
Occasional stutter
I use a Thrustmaster GT300 RS, which needs the hid-tmff2-dkms module, and the translation between steering wheel and game was of (90° on the wheel were like 10-15° in game) here is how I solved this with all steps:
- Connect the wheel and let it run it's start sequence / homing
- start oversteer (and select your profile, if you have one)
- close oversteer
- Run:
evdev-joystick --evdev /dev/input/by-id/usb-Thrustmaster_Thrustmaster_T300RS_Racing_wheel-event-joystick --d 0
in a terminal to reset the deadzone - start the game
With this the wheel works like a charm
Runs perfectly. Only thing is, after switching between applications, the mouse gets sometimes stuck. After hitting ESC for the menu and closing it the mouse movement resumes normaly
Crashed / Clodes once after around 5h in Homebase. Don't know why and didn't ever since.
Should run fine w/o GloriousEggroll, but I did get a slight performence increase by using it.
Has issues running windowed (flashing screen) => press F11 to switch to fullscreen. Butterly Smooth without any further problems. Didn't test controller compatibility, because it's basically a visual novel.
Good playable, when using a "Glorious Eggroll"-Proton. Installation is pretty simple and straight forward.
Proton-5.6-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Proton-5.6-GE-2
Slightly slower and a little bit more "stuttery" compared to windows. Especially when playing with a friend who spam-casts the whole map at once :-)
Works great, aside from the auto-save stutter.
As metioned by others here, reaccuring slight stutter from auto-saving. Disabling it solves the problem.
Runs as smooth as a native title.
At some random starts the game wouldn't detect the controller. Tested with PS4 & XBox Controller. A restart of the game fixes it.
Set TDP to 10W and FPS to 45
At the boot-selection for the game the "start with gpu-fix" seams to improve performence when I have a crazy flashy run in the game. Players of the game know, waht I mean ;-)
