Game has better performance on Linux compared to Windows.
Certain graphics and effects do not appear in fullscreen. It occurs when you start the game in fullscreen or after focusing on another window/application and back to the game in fullscreen mode.
- This can be solved by switching to windowed mode and switching back to fullscreen.
Movies will not play at all, except the Xtreme Legends opening.
Saves are not saved onto the Steam Cloud, you must copy the KoeiTecmo Folder to the Documents folder in the game's prefix. (If you wish to transfer your save from another device)
On Windows 10, with AMD Adrenalin Edition 24.1.1, the game would run with an inconsistent framerate on max settings (30-50 FPS), requiring the use of the game's frameskip setting to lock the FPS to 30 since the game's speed is based on the FPS. Given my hardware, this game should not run with these low framerates.
On Linux, the game runs with a consistent 60 FPS on max settings. Despite the minor graphical inconveniences, the game runs and plays better than on Windows.
Game works great, but there is performance loss.
When in dungeons or in combat, there is perfromance loss on Linux which is not seen on Windows with the same hardware. (up to 30 FPS loss depending on the dungeon or battle you are in)
All of the menus and the scenes perfrom similar to Windows.
I have played though Chapter 1 and part of Chapter 2 on Linux.
Framerate seems to be always capped to 60 FPS no matter what, unlike Windows which adjusts the framerate limit to 30 or 60 FPS.
Works right out of the box.
Game froze once right when I completed the tutorial. (trying to teleport)
Online gameplay seems to be great. I am able to connect and play without any problems.
I haven't played Old School Runescape on Windows so I can't give out any details about perfromance differences.
-resolution 1920 1080
Installed Star Wars Battlefront 2 Remaster 1.5 r2
Loading times can be one to two minutes longer than loading it on Windows with the same hardware, but the game seems to perform well without any other problems. I did not test multiplayer.
Using save from Windows which had fullscreen disabled.
Text is not rendered properly. Tested both English and Japanese.
Unable to switch out of fullscreen once you have enabled it. (fullscreen is enabled by default)
Without any readable text, the menus could be difficult to browse (especially for first time players) and you are unable to enjoy Story Mode properly. Endless Mode can be played just fine. Unless you have played the game already, this game will be problematic since you don't have any text.
