Runs about as well as on Windows judging by the other people's bug reports, certain crashes occur on shader compilation errors, they're fixable by installing native d3dcompiler_43 and setting the override with winetricks (e.g. by running WINEPREFIX=$HOME/.steam/steam/SteamApps/compatdata/437250/pfx/ WINE="$HOME/.steam/steam/SteamApps/common/Proton 4.2/dist/bin/wine" winetricks -q d3dcompiler_43 but replacing "Proton 4.2" with the actual version used). With that workaround the game is very playable and completable.

in-game chat doesn't work
played the PvP mode as well, it worked for me
Everything works out of the box except sound effects. Those are fixable by forcing use of the built-in openal32 library, e.g. by setting the launch options to this: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="openal32=b" %command%
Forcing Wine D3D11 lets me see the menu, start the game and see the UI but the game world doesn't render correctly at all. When using DXVK it fails to display even the main menu.
Font rendering is sometimes off, but mostly fine, also binding items to the quick access menu doesn't seem to stick and I don't remember having that issue on Windows. Otherwise perfectly playable.
Trying to run it in fullscreen can result in it crashing and then refusing to launch until you restore the configuration files datasc.ksd and datasu.ksd in savedata subfolder to their previous state. Also in the clue selection UI mouse selection position often desyncs from actual mouse position and there is some input lag when clicking. It's not too hard to deal with this however and the game is playable and completable.
every map takes forever to load barely giving time to select a character before a match begins, hard to tell if it's Proton specific or just another game expecting an SSD to function properly
As others have said the game now launches without any apparent issues when using Proton Experimental.
The workaround described in other reports indeed works very well. I'd recommend disabling Steam Overlay, trying to take a screenshot with it crashed the game for me.
Doesn't render correctly. The visual elements on the ground nearby are wrongly displayed and often fighting, a lot of ground in the distance is just black patches.
