Tinker Steps:Custom Proton: GE-Proton9-10, protontricks

if you don't have protonstricks install it from discovery (desktop mode) protontricks ffdshow l3codecx winxp directshow (install all codex with ffdshow) select windows type winxp in winecfg in steam, in the game page. go settings/properties/betas and select windows7 in betas participation

Works with tweaks, no issues found. The protontricks command is needed to get past the black screen other users are experiencing.

I was able to overcome the black screen issue by installing the beta "windows7" in the properties of the game
The videos are playing but:
- there is a lag between the click and the start of the video
- the fast lookup in the videos is not friendly (the image is frozen, only the time position in the video is updated)
- some sound artefacts in the videos
