The game runs perfectly, after around 10 hours of playing I couldn't find a single issue nor any crashes
SteamDeck=1 %command%
Borked, completely unplayable.
The previous workaround for EAC doesn't work at all anymore.
Steps to get Fall Guys running right now:
- If you've never launched the game before, specifically you haven't done the DOB setup, you may need to do this on Windows first
- Install Proton-GE 7.15 this makes the current editing of files / script stuff redundant
- Upon first launching the game, wait for the EOS install segment, cancel the 2nd part (it shows 2/2) You have to cancel this EVERY time you start the game now, if you've forgotten to cancel it and it successfully installed, delete the prefix and repeat
- Have fun
Unplayable
Notes disappear shortly after playing, also the tutorial is busted.
DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command
You have to install "Battlerite Royale" (free2play) and copy the file stun_steamnetworking.dll in the BattleriteRoyale_Data/Plugins/ directory into VRising_Server/VRisingServer_Data/Plugins/x86_64/ AND VRising_Data/Plugins/x86_64/ (and overwrite the existing one). After that the game should run.
Initially we had to play the game by installing Windows Steam in Wine, but with the mentioned workaround it works perfectly. I do however HIGHLY recommend to use Proton GE or anything with dxvk-async and to enable it via DXVK_ASYNC=1 to avoid the constant shader compilation stuttering.
DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command%
Runs perfectly out of the box, use GE-Proton with DXVK_ASYNC=1 to remove initial shader compilation stuttering.
In order to play the native version switch to the public-beta branch (Properties > Betas)
If you play with the flatpak version of Steam you also need to change the "launcher.sh" script into:
LD_PRELOAD=; "./VampireSurvivors" --no-sandbox
Basically adding the --no-sandbox option Thanks to this issue
Once you get the game running properly it works great!
