Beautiful & Relaxing Worked Perfect Out the Box on Deck
A soothing experience from start-to-finish. This worked perfectly for me on Deck.
Repetative & a bit lack-luster with little to no innovation in gameplay
Sometimes the "Interact" button would not register. Could be a bug with the game although I have not heard this complaint from my Windows user friends.
Would sometimes crash mid-way through a mission
Sometimes the "Interact" button wouldn't register, meaning I could not refill ammo or interact with objects rendering the playthrough "Unfun"...the occasional crash too.
This does work and play fine on Deck but it is not without its issues.
The occassional bug ruins a playthrough and the monotonous gameplay, combined with lengthy missions, doesn't make for a top experience.
However it does what it says on the tin and can be fun in short bursts.
Whilst not the best DiRT in the series, this comes into its own when played on Deck
There is something about gaming via a portable that takes average games and makes them enjoyable...
For me, the ability to click that "Power Button" and resume right where I left off makes games like this very appealing. Instead of investing hours in one sitting, the ability to jump and play stands out.
I am pleased to say then that this ran perfectly for me on my Deck from start-to-finish!
Fun Game, DiRT 5 Clearly Inspired by This Game
Used unofficial community controller settings works fine with that
Unplayable at default settings
This is a fun game and I'm enjoying playing it.
It would seem as though Codemasters were inspired by this game for their DiRT 5 release, however I'd recommend DiRT 5 over this. DiRT 5 is far better optimised and works perfectly on Deck without modifications.
Once this game has been twidled and tweaked then it can be played with fine however.
Simple & Repetative...but addictive!
Graphics were poor but not enough to detract from gameplay
Whilst graphically on Deck this wasn't superb, this is made up by the fact the gameplay loop is simple and addictive enough to see it through to completion.
Overall I enjoyed my time with this one, and playing it on Deck lends itself well to the simple nature of the game.
Ran unbelievably well for such an old rig at 3440x1440!
Could not believe how well this ran on Ubuntu on such an old rig at 3440x1440. Not a single bug to report and start-to-finish enjoyability! 5*s recommend.
