Perfection

While this seems to work well for most people, for me it's completely unplayable on Linux.
Runs far worse than on Windows, ~15 fps on max settings instead of 250+ fps.
Game freezes irrecoverably upon taking a few steps in the first level.
This set of symptoms happened with Proton 7 and 8, Experimental, and Proton GE 8.

Works perfect right out of the box

Ran perfectly on Deck & Ubuntu
Worked perfectly from start to finish!
No issues found

Trying to change video options (e.g. vsync) will crash the game. However, they can be adjusted in the kexengine.cfg file in the game's prefix folder.
You can turn the GPU clock all the way down to save battery and still get 60FPS

Just works, no issues at all
+r_rhirenderfamily d3d11
Use +r_rhirenderfamily d3d11 if vulkan does not work
Works out of the box.
Works Flawlessly
Everything seems to work flawlessly out-of-the-box. No customisation was necessary.

Proton GE was used and the version number is in the summary. Github for Proton GE: https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom
I only did a short test of the game. Ran through two levels and honestly nothing out of the ordinary happened. Felt like a native game. I can only assume because most issues with the KEX engine will have been resolved with other games using it from nightdive.
