A great game that runs perfectly out of the box.
No Linux-specific issues encountered so far and the game is rather stable too. I genuinely thought it was a native port because I didn't pay attention when buying it.
EAC not supported on Day 1
Despite news of Elden Ring being Steam Deck verified, it seems the necessary patches aren't available on release. Will likely be updated soon.

Works just like Windows, performance issues and all.
Microstutters cause a huge detriment to what would otherwise be a near-native experience
Microstutters and dropped frames, which is unfortunately a huge deal when it comes to fighting games
Some videos do not work, but nothing that is detrimental to gameplay
Many videos are not displayed, instead briefly popping up the "missing video" color test.
Multiplayer runs just as well (acceptable) as on Windows. Still uses delay-based netcode.
Game does not start
Non-steam Community Edition does start, but has glitched visual effects on AMD graphics.
Works flawlessly; you could mistake it as native
Runs like it was native.
Opening movie does not play.
Menus would occasionally recieve doubled directional inputs on the dpad, leading to them being hard to control.
Consistently high framerates even at max settings.
Runs almost well on Steam Deck, let down by bugged visual effect that happens very frequently and becomes distracting.
Wall-slam distortion effects are instead displayed as black circles that have distortive effects on HUD elements and sprites they come in contact with. Very distracting and also present on other AMD graphics.
Everything, even videos, ran out of the box with and performed as well as on Windows.
Release date instabilities and crashes are present, but are consistent with reports on Windows.
Mostly works; Others' hardware might not have the microstutter issue I face and many might not even notice the dropped frames like I might.
Microstutters and dropped frames which are detrimental for a fighting game, where you need a constant and stable 60 fps
Would be perfect if Linux-compatibility on EAC were enabled and the issues ons tartup (Intro video and Launcher stability) were ironed out

Microsoft Edge Webview Runtime, a component of the game's launcher, fails to install on launch. The launcher will still launch, eventually, but can bypassed entirely by opting into the temporary_launcher_workaround
beta.
Runs as well as on Windows, but is currently limited to the modded realm with EAC disabled. Proton-GE is currently required due to the intro video preventing the game from continuing, and Microsoft Edge Webview installation crashes on startup unless the launcher is bypassed entirely.
