When I first ran it the screen was peculiar. it was only showing the top left 3/5ths of the screen. After finding the Game.pref (for me at: /home//.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/202710/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/My Games/Gas Powered Games/Demigod) and opening with a text editor. I changed primary_adapter line to primary_adapter = '1920,1080,60' which is the native resolution for my monitors and everything worked fine after that.
Followed the instructions found on: https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-installcab to install Media Foundation (needed mfplat.dll from a windows 7 install). Once that was installed no problems experienced. Played for an hour or so.
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8.dll=n,b" gamemoderun %command%
Couldn't launch out of the box but a spent a few minutes on Protondb and found the correct combination.
