The game didn't like windowed or borderless modes on my system. Mouse tracking was off i.e. mousing over things would select the item below it etc. Setting the game to run in full screen resolved this.

I installed Ground Branch, hit play, and it ran with zero issues out of the box. The game has some rough edges as it's in EA but runs well!
