Using the touch screen to draw was a little cumbersome. Wherever the mouse cursor was left at it would register a left click on that spot first when using the touch screen. That would register a lot of misinputs over the course of the game.
Sometimes the audio would crackle if I put the deck into sleep mode and woke it up again. And rarely it would crackle for a few seconds during gameplay
There was some slowdown during some action sequences.
Over my playtime my game would crash from time to time. This happened around 10 times in my 110+ hour playthrough
Every couple hours the game might have a breif stutter, but otherwise it ran perfectly
The game runs well enough when set to 30FPS. However, it barely ever reaches 60FPS if you set it to that
Most text in the game was fine for me to read. However, there are menu elements throughout the game that are pretty small. It is hard to read on both the deck's screen and when connected to a TV.
Metaphor runs well enough when set at 30FPS. 60FPS is not recommended as it drains the battery a lot faster
Used the powertools plugin
I had to lower it from 90Hz to 60Hz to remove slowdown in gameplay
Sometimes the game would not boot on start up. All I did to remedy this was close the game and start it up again. This always worked.
A few times when I booted up the game on my TV it didn't start in fullscreen. I had to reboot my Steam Deck to get it to work. This only happened a couple of times, however.
The game hard crashed on me twice. On my latest session it crashed on me 3 times in a row when I hit the roll button in the overworld. This was all in the default proton build. I then switched to proton GE to finish the game, and I had no issues since then.
In my experience, this game had 5 overall crashes throughout my 15-ish hour playthrough. Three of them in my final hour of gameplay. Switching to proton GE helped, but I didn't spend much game time in that build as of writing this report. Do be wary of the possibility of the game crashing at some point while playing.
